Vayu Retreat Villas

What a delight. Rafael and Marc truly created a jewel of a boutique hotel in the middle of the jungle, yet close enough to the beaches and sights of Tres Ríos de Coronado. Attention to every possible detail seems to be their very motto. The entire hotel facility, the rooms, the restaurant and the pool area are absolutely well-designed, functional and spotless. And on top of all that, Rafael enjoys astonishing their guests with creations of food and drinks that are certainly exceptional. Enjoy!

The only thing not to like about the property is that it’s too far away from home :)

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Vayu retreat. Marc et Rafael sont passionnés et attentionnés jusque dans les détails. La chambre, les lieux, la piscine, l’accès à la rivière ainsi que le restaurant et les occasionnelles soirées chantantes sont délicieuses. Les plages et autres activités sont à proximité si vous disposez d’un véhicule (recommandé ). Nous ne pouvons que recommander cet endroit si vous recherchez le calme et la douceur de vivre au Costa Rica!

The staff are true perfectionists. They showed excellent taste in decorating this fine boutique hotel. Bedding of the purest quality guarantees a perfect sleep. Perfect airco and wifi. Food is simply the best of its kind, vegan and veggie delight.

The hotel is very nice and way up from the normal standard you get in Costa Rica. The owner is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable during your stay. The rooms are nicely designed. The food was very good.

There is still construction going on, which was not to bothering, but having a view on a construction site is not what I expected. I feel it should be mentioned in the description. Additionally the room is very noisy when there is water running in the room next to it, which was okay, as we had been awake, but otherwise, your sleep might end when your neighbours wake up and shower..

We had a wonderful stay here! The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable (during rainy season) and also helped us with booking our next tour destination. Food was excellent, try the avocado toast! We slept so comfortably on the softest sheets in an ambient lit room and the private balcony was great for extra relaxation. I would not stay anywhere else when visiting this area again!

Room with A/C if you needed it. Balcony with table and power supply to work with a view of the forest and sounds of the river. Great shower with hot water. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Super hosts, friendly and helpful. Eco approach to energy usage and lighting. Convenient location for Tres Rios, a change from staying in Ojochal.

From the moment we arrived we became relaxed by the eviroment created by the Vayu Team! We felt very welcome and the mood was very calm and chilled out. The rooms are perfect and the beds even more, they were so comfy that we had difficulties getting out! The food that they serve at their restaurant is of a different level, so delicious!(try the loaded backed patato!) The hospitality provided by Marc and Rafael was so amazing that we felt bad that we had to leave this place of ultimate tranquility
