Stylish 2BR Apt in Valletta by Buena Vista

There were 2 rooms, plenty of space, exactly what we wanted.

The lift was out of order and there was a washing machine but no detergent.

Great Location. Lovely helpful host, couldn't do enough for us.

Air Conditioning was barely adequate there being only one in the Lounge, Fans supplied in the bedrooms. A good flight of stairs before you reach a lift to access the next floor so we always walked the next flight also. The Location outweighed any negatives, however bedrooms would be hot in the high season

Appartement super. Très propre, très grand, très bon air climatisé, très bon internet, tout était parfait. J’y retournerais avec plaisir.

Excellent location of the apartment, very good cleaning and spaces. The communication with the owner was fast and effective. We found water and coffee for our needs. Fireworks aside (but get used to it in Malta...) the street is silent despite being very close to the city centre.

The building is certainly not so modern, but in the center of Valletta it is difficult to find better buildings. The elevator didn't seem to work even using the key. In the stairs there is often a strong smell of Indian food: I didn't mind, but it can be annoying.

Location, amenities inside the apartment, 2 beds 2 baths with one being an ensuite bathroom. Very clean and well-kept inside. Pierre our checkout driver was very nice and helpful, unlike the the caveman who met us at the airport on arrival.

1. First impressions. The driver who met us at the airport was uncouth, unsuitable and downright rude. Yes, we did have a 3 hour flight delay, but that is totally out of our control, and anyone who works in tourism industry should understand that gracefully and accept it as an everyday occurrence in this line of work. So please sub-contract drivers who are appropriate in this sense. Sending someone like this to welcome guests at the airport leaves a bad taste in the mouth before one even gets to the property. 2. No elevator and way too many stairs. It was seven flights of stairs, around 11 steps each flight, to our so-called "2nd floor" apartment #6 !! This is not what someone coming from Canada/US considers 2nd floor. Carrying our luggage up and down was a nightmare, so if you have any mobility issues whatsoever, even a heart condition or breathing issues, this place is not for you. 3. Staircase lighting. To make matters worse, they use motion-detected staircase lighting which keeps cutting out, leaving one in total darkness mid-way, and making it not just very difficult to get in and out but also downright dangerous. I know this is Malta and accountability is a fledgling concept, but doesn't BV feel responsible for, or are they even conscious of, the liability if someone falls and breaks a leg on these interminable stairs?? 4. The wi-fi inside the apartment was spotty at times.
