Everything about our stay was perfect. The cabin was clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming. The views were amazing, regardless the time of the day and the location was perfect. we wanted to be out of the way and Elgol was just perfect.

It was perfect and had the most amazing views from the epic windows! It had everything we needed.

The view is really amazing. There is a kitchen and a tiny ethanol fire place. We have got some whisky for our arrival. Thanks a lot for that.

The cabin is definately to small already for two people. No space to lay your luggage down. If you travel with more than a backpack you have to place all your stuff at the buttom. No closeths at all. And even the space at the bottom is limited. The cabin is separated in three "storys". The lowest is the living room. The highest is the bedroom. So its always very warm in the sleeping area and cold in the living section. The ethanol fire place needs a long time to heat the livingroom up and there is no additional heater in this section. So unfortunately its uncomfortable. We saw other rental homes with a lot more space and more comfort. They were also equipped with a tiny starter package like coffe, porradge and some cheese. Also the shower and the toilet rooms are very small and there is not enough space to clean teeth or face. You need to do this in the kitchen. And don`t forget the distance from the main road to the cabin.

Stunning location, modern cabin.

I always go to Skye for my birthday for a few days and had never been to the Elgol part of the island. I know the island and the climate quite well so was expecting pretty much anything and everything. I booked this because of the view and it absolutely did not disappoint! The day of my birthday was gloriously sunny and I sat with a lovely glass of chilled champagne, looking at that view in the afternoon. It is absolutely idyllic and even the word perfect isn't good enough. The bed was so comfortable I slept a FULL 8 hours uninterrupted and then had coffee in bed with that view too. The shower was fabulous and the towels were spot on. The little toilet with the ever-so-cute wash hand basin was like stepping into a little bit of Hobbiton haha. So quirky and wonderful. Dishwasher was handy on the last day when you are rushing to check out The day after my birthday was quite stormy so lighting the fire and enjoying the rest of my champagne in the cosy atmospheric cabin was just absolutely perfect. Sunshine or storm I couldn't fault any part of it. The finishing bit of "polish" on the whole thing was the little hip flask of whisky which I suspect was Talisker (which I happen to love) that was there on arrival was the cherry on top of the cake so to speak. This place hasn't been open that long for bookings relatively speaking but it is already booked up for most of the year and you can absolutely see why. So I found a slot in the summer where there's the obvious more daylight hours and sunsets and booked again it was so good. It really is that lovely!!!

That I had to leave. Was quite gutted when I drove away. Looking forward to going back.

The views were absolutely amazing well thought out property. Nice fresh eggs and whiskey upon arrival.

Comfortable cabin, clean and well provisioned. Off road parking. Owner friendly and helpful. Views were amazing. Location very good. Owner even gave dram of Whisky as a welcome.

Garden not fully secure at rear of cabin. If your dog wanted too they could exit garden.
