Madifushi Private Island

100 out of 10! 😍 Absolutely perfect holiday and anniversary trip! We've been looking for a quiet and serene resort to enjoy and got exactly that. Our water villa was towards the end of the bridge with a beautiful sunset view. I loved the design! Clean, modern, mostly neutral with some splash of colour. Pool, swings and rocking sunbeds. Everything brand new. 90% privacy, you still can see your neighbors, but only if they are going down the stairs to swim. The rest is blocked by the wall behind the swings and you definitely feel very cozy. We had one complimentary snorkeling trip included and it was great! Beautiful fishes, corals, sharks and dolphins! It's 10-15 min by boat from the hotel. Resort itself doesn't have a house reef, but you still can find some corals and fishes around your villa, just need to swim a bit. There's also stingrays and eagle rays around! Baby sharks are easy to spot at night. Water is amazing! Super warm! Ocean something was more hot than our pool. There's a current, so I'd recommend to get set of fins for easier swimming. You have an options for in villa dining and two main restaurants - Bluefin (buffet concept) and Fahrenheit (fine dining, grill specialty). Villa dining menu is limited, but we was happy with both of the restaurants and also got floating breakfast experience. For a week on the island we didn't get bored with food at all. Buffet menu for breakfast and dinners changes every day and it's really tasty. As well as wonderful grill dishes from Farenheit. Staff is great! Everyone is friendly, warm, polite. Even just passing by people will great you or offer a buggy ride or point out if there's an interesting sea creatures around. I loved surprises from a hotel! We got bubble bath, bed decoration and cake for our anniversary. We was in a good hands of Mo, she'd always reply quickly and never left any request unattended.

Departure lounge. After check-out we still had 50 min before seaplane departure, but the administration building has no aircond. And alternative is only very sad small room with one couch. If they could just notify us that check-out is that quick, we'd rather spend more time at the breakfast area or use it for swimming instead of that tiny room.

Amazing!!! ***** We would highly recommend Madifushi to live an extraordinary adventure in Maldives!!! I must admit that I had concerns before arriving when I read some negative comments but this experience showed us that the best reference is your own experience. EVERYONE worked really hard to make our stay a success. We have travelled a lot and Perfection does not exist in this world but there are destinations where staff, beginning with the doorman to the manager who will give 100% to give their guests the best they can give. From my point of view, this was the closest to a perfect vacation!! 🥰🥰 Am writing this review while we are still at the resort. We leave today 😢 This trip was a dream come true for us. We wanted to live the water villa experience and it was more than what we expected. We stayed in the sunrise villa #965, it has the best amazing view and more shade in the afternoon, perfect for us as the weather is very hot 🥵. We have been treated with lots of care and felt very special right from the beginning when we arrived at the airport. A staff member brought us to the seaplane terminal and did the check in for us then brought us to our waiting lounge. We felt right away in good hands. The seaplane experience is incredible. Greetings arriving at the island was very touching. 👍 Mo!!! Thank you so much for taking such good care of us and for your efficiency, kindness and professionalism 🥰 Thanks to the Administration, en particular the Manager for his human approach towards his guests and GENEROSITY! Cleaning service twice a day was more than enough; towels, bathrobes, slippers, coffee, water ect… we just had everything !! Thank you Bachir and Kamal for all your special attention, you were great!! Other services: thank you Shakhawat !! Thank you Pauline, Deniyal, and Chef, for the amazing service at Fahrenheit restaurant for our delicious 5 course supper: surf and turf !

Amazing resort and location. Very private, very quite. Villas are really well designed and maintained. The staff are extremelly considerate and attentive to the needs of the guests - real professionals. The food is amazing: menu well organized and diverse. Best holiday in our lives!

The water villas have a beautiful interior design. The diving staff was great. Sushi master from the Philippines was super.

This hotel is lacking heart and soul. Even though everything seems beautiful, since its a new hotel. But you’ll realise early on, that the service culture there is not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. Staff gives you the feeling of being a number, which is proven by the fact that the hotel manager introduces himself to you several times and seems to constantly forget that he has talken to you the day before. Drinks for breakfast are usually only served as sson as you finished eating. Not going into detail how bad the cappuccino was…. And that serving a beer and coffee by the pool bar will take more than 15 mins. Also apparently it is impossible to clean the public toilets even though for some reason there was always staff standing in front of them. Being busy chatting. The maybe worst part is that the hotel feeds the fishes, including sharks during the night. When considering that a lot of guests are non-swimmers, it is absolutely unbelievable that anyone with a clear mind, could come up with the idea of feeding sharks anywhere nearby the hotel. Knowing that as a consequence the animals learn to come to that exact place to eat. As soon as we checked out we still had to wait for the water plan, but the receptionists literally kicked us out of the hotel which means that we werent meant to use the pool anymore but stay in a hall that was full of used cups, plates etc. and felt like a mensa from a highschool in the 90s. No professionally service trained hotel would ever do so. Leaving this hotel with that last encounter gives a bad feeling. Considering the price we paid, there are for sure amazing hotels and experiences waiting un other parts of the world, as well as in the maldives.

Everything was great. Staff is very kind especially water sport team was amazing at Funaqua especially Maisal, Mueen and Mueedh. Also during sunset was amazing live music by Daril from Cuba.
