Rye is een mooi oud stadje met leuke winkels en restaurants

Cottage staat aan een drukke doorgaande weg, verkeerslawaai

"A hidden gem of Rye"

9.0

An excellent, authentic, well-designed and thought through place for a short family trip. The cottage is not huge but the space has been managed masterfully by the owners so you don't feel boxed in at all. You can feel the history of the building and the small terrace at the back directly faces a medieval town wall - yet nothing about the interiors or appliances, furniture feels old or "tired". Finally the decorations make the stay exceptionally cozy and create a real home-like feeling. I would highly recommend that the owners try and upgrade the photos on the website as the cottage is better presented than shown on Booking.com - never happened to me before. And having traveled quite a bit in the UK - excellent value for money.

Very little if anything to be honest. The cottage faces a small road junction (single lane roads) and there are 2 pubs in the short vicinity so there is a little bit of noise but nothing too bad. It would be great if there could be more flexible arrangements for taking out the garbage but I understand it's a broader Rye issue.

"Had a great time and would definitely return ."

Cosy and brilliant location .

Sign in TV, real problem for people without modern phones , spare chair for kitchen table -needed so borrowed one of the outside ones ( more chairs needed ). Bathroom floor needs some TLC .
