Birdsong lodge Dog Friendly Nr Sutton on Sea

Loved the quirkiness and how peaceful it was. Properly dog friendly, not just dogs allowed. Really clever use of space

Extra counter space and somewhere to drain the dishes would be good. We did get quite warm overnight and there was no window to open.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Plenty of space for the 2 nights as a family of 5 with 2 dogs. It was very dog safe especially as one of our dogs is a miniature chihuahua who has always managed to escape everywhere we have been but she didn't once here which was amazing. The children loved the welcome video we received before arriving, and once we got there they loved every aspect of it. The relaxing swing was a big hit and sitting on the tall chairs watching the horses and watching for bats in an evening. Myself and my husband found it all very comfy and reassuring how secure it was especially with 3 small children and 2 dogs. Quick drive to the beach and takeaways were easy to order. Cheryl was lovely on arrival showing us all around. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you.

Nothing we didn't like, the shower was too hot or cold for the kids but for two nights a quick wash was doable ! It wouldn't put us off returning.

Was fairly quiet, mostly countryside noises, no traffic etc. Cosy indoor area with plenty of places to relax. Very comfortable beds & bedding. Garden is spacious with different areas we could enjoy the sunshine - it catches the sun quite nicely. A modern easy to use BBQ. Small fridge with freezer compartment, microwave & oven. Very modern kitchen. There were books & games to entertain all ages, as well as a tv with netflix & prime. There were dog bowls, toys (used), dog poop bags & dog biscuits - the lodge is very dog friendly! Hosts were very responsive the few times we messaged them & very accommodating.

We only had two/three issues: 1) the shower was very temperamental - water was either extremely hot or extremely cold. 2) there was no windows. It was very warm the day we arrived & hosts supplied a fan but at night the fan was still spinning out warm air. 3)There was no bedding for the pullout bed - not a massive issue & we didn't ask for any as we used a throw from the sofas instead.

Me and my 13 year-old son stayed for a couple of nights and had a lovely visit. It's so peaceful and such a nice little lodge to stay for a short stay. Cheryl was so lovely - as soon as we got there she showed us around and where everything was. I'd definitely return for another break.

The only thing we had a slight problem with was the temperature of the shower - it was either really hot or freezing but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

An amazing place for a family get away with the dog cheryl and Simon were great hosts will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely stay, it had everything you need in a small space. The garden area was very peaceful with great views of the countryside. The owners went out their way to meet any additional requirements.

The lodge is in a lovely rural location just a few minutes drive from the beach and close to local attractions.

Would benefit from a full length mirror somewhere.

Received a little WhatsApp video from owners showing where to park etc before we arrived, thought that was a nice little touch. It was my partners birthday during our stay so I’d asked for them to put some balloons up and they went above and beyond. Nice little garden area for our fury friends. Lots of walking area’s around. They had thought of everything within the lodge that we didn’t even need to bring along with us!

The BBQ… we was excited all day to use it as the sun was beaming and it didn’t work and there was mould on it! So we used the oven instead for our meat! Little fusty smell in the lodge
