On your booking.com page you said that they took Pets. They responded to say they did not. They took my money. I have asked you to refund it but no response so far.

Very poorly decorated. Very dirty and gringy...its literally a stop over pub hotel. But I wouldn't go back.

Staff were pleasantly and food was good

Rooms were tired and could do with updating

The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good.

Although the room was comfortable the shower room was tiny and there was no room for towel rail or place to put anything on. Also there was black mould on the inside of the shower. It was noisy at night due to loading/unloading barrels. Road noise was high from the A34.

As walkers doing the Ridgeway comfy beds and a bath were essential and these were perfect for us. It was a hot day so the room was quite warm, but opening the windows made it refreshing. I usually hate hotel pillows but these were just right. Also, tea and coffee in the room was useful. It's great they do breakfast these days as an option and they were a really good size! The owner/manager was really helpful and went the extra mile for us the day we left, which was so greatly appreciated. Great stash of Nat Geo magazines to peruse in bed ;)

No dislikes. A little fridge in the room would have been ideal though. Walkers are likely to want to cool their water bottles down :)
