"SERVICE THAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT"

2.0

Our stay was beautiful, everything seemed to be going perfectly until we encountered a few upsetting incidents with our tent. We requested permission from the same girl who checked us in her name was Abi, if I remember correctly to have our wood burning fireplace lit. However, when we asked for this service, we were met with a myriad of obstacles. First, they cited safety concerns, then added more and more conditions, explaining that it could only be lit until 9 PM. In short, it was an uphill battle just to make this simple request. On another note, we asked reception for assistance in delivering our ordered meals to our tent. To our dismay, it took an astonishing 1 hour and 20 minutes for them to bring us the food.If that wasn’t enough, we found hair in the bathroom of our tent, which was absolutely unacceptable. We immediately requested assistance, but shockingly, no one ever responded.Honestly, it’s heartbreaking that such a beautiful place is overshadowed by so many flaws that desperately need attention.

"Qolqas dinner-a unique experience near ollantaytambo"

10.0

We just had a lovely dinner at Qolqas. The food is fabulous and our server, Elisa, was attentive, friendly and mindful. Qolqas is truly another world. We love the ambience and staff. I highly recommend spending time at this lodge in the sacred valley.

"Basic to be a luxury place"

2.0

Our experience at this establishment had its pleasant moments, but I believe there are fundamental aspects that need improvement to truly qualify as a luxury destination. The check-in process was quick but entirely lacking in useful information. A young woman, whose service we recall for being indifferent and unprofessional, left us with a negative impression. We had to wait nearly half a day before another receptionist finally provided proper assistance. Additionally, although we understand some Spanish, we overheard unprofessional remarks from the service staff that, unfortunately, seemed to demean us as guests. This was entirely unacceptable. I strongly recommend dedicating more effort to training staff in hospitality and ensuring they deliver warm and respectful service, especially if the establishment aims to uphold a luxury image.

Dream like setting for a hotel. Stayed here for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort is surrounded by towering mountains on both sides with a river flowing through. The onsite dining and breakfast options were high quality and the service very good. The room we were in felt a little short on space. However, floor to to ceiling glass doors gave a very roomy feel with stunning views of nature. There is a hiking trail that goes to Pumamarca ruins just outside the hotel entrance for those that are feeling the urge to explore the area. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a stay in Sacred Valley.

A truly outstanding Eco resort in harmony with a stunning location. The warm, welcoming local staff made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our villa was beautifully designed and bathed in the sounds of the nearby tumbling creek. In addition to the wonderful breakfasts, we enjoyed a lovely 4 course dinner in the atmospheric glass dining room. Special thanks to manager Mr. Hector Ramirez, who kindly helped us make the most of our time in Ollantaytambo, helping us explore Inca wonders in the surrounding hills. We cannot wait to return to Las Qolqas.

The bumpy drive up the valley, 10mins out of town is worth it once you arrive at this gated resort, with beautiful manicured gardens, running streams & stunning mountains on either side. The cabins are essentially posh tents/glamping but with comfy beds, large bathroom & a small area to store luggage, with a stove fire & fridge. The shower was very temperamental, hot & cold but the cabin was spotlessly clean. Staff all friendly, good shuttle service into town & the external laundry company used was very cheap & efficient. We really enjoyed using the fire pit each evening. Only thing we would suggest is more informstion about the resort at check in or in the rooms, rather than expecting guests to Watsap or ask. Overall a pleasant stay, if you want to get away from the tourists but rather expensive for essentially glamping!
