"First time in Peru"

10.0

We highly recommend this property. We had no idea what to expect from “luxury tents”. Nothing could’ve prepared us for how beautiful the property was. The beds were perfect, with really warm bedding and extra blankets for the cold nights. There was also a space heater in the room if needed. We never needed our wood stove in the tent, but the hotel did light a fire pit for us one night, which was very pleasant. There was plenty of room in the tent to unpack, as well as the refrigerator in the room. I really enjoyed the showers with two settings with both overhead and hand held shower heads. Lotions, shampoo and conditioners were all provided. As was a hairdryer. Lots of light, and really high ceilings. The best part of every day was our cheerful barista, Rolyn. He brightened every morning and made excellent espresso and cappuccino. We also enjoyed the bar and the bar area in the afternoons and evenings. Everyone who served us was so friendly. The manager, Hector, gave us a tour of the vegetable gardens. He explained that the property currently produces 30% of its fruits and vegetables, and has a goal of being 70% self sustained by the end of the year. This garden was incredible! All of the fruits and vegetables that we sampled were delicious. We also really enjoyed the sound of the rushing river that went through the property. The property was fairly close to town, but a bit risky and narrow to walk. A shuttle was provided by the property during the day. We took taxis in the evenings. I wish we were a little bit closer so we could’ve walked back-and-forth, but there were definite advantages to having a retreat away from the town in the evenings. Some of our friends took advantage of the spa treatments and really enjoyed them. We had planned to use the hot tubone night, but did learn that it was by reservation for a small fee. It was really convenient to drop off some laundry in the morning and have it back in the evening. It cost us about $10 to have a few days clothing washed. My husband needed to work a few mornings during the trip, and he found the office area really convenient, located above the lobby.

"Serene location with magnificent views 360°"

10.0

My Stay at Las Qolqas Eco Resort was absolutely amazing. I went to Ollantaytambo in early March, the weather was beautiful, slight rainfall, but mostly sunny. The eco resort is ideally located next to a river surrounded by mountains on both sides. Although it is only about 2 miles from the city center (~30 minute walk), it felt like we were totally disconnected from the outside world during the stay. The day we reached, I was starving and we were greeted with lunch in the main dining area, the ceviche was one the best we have had in our life. The drinks were also top notch. The concierge at the front desk, GianCarlo, was extremely polite and walked us to our cabin after lunch. Walking through the resort, you witness many different species of plants and fruit trees. I fell in love with this resort instantly. The resort also provides free drop off and pick up service to and from the city center during the daytime, until 6PM. If you plan to stay out late in the city, then you have arranged your own taxi or walk back to the resort. We did not mind the walk and actually enjoyed it. I believe the whole idea of the stay at the resort is to disconnect from the outside world, to unwind and enjoy the resort amenities. Overall the entire staff, including GianFranco, Hector, Rolando, Macoy, was very helpful and kind. However, we interacted with GianCarlo the most during our stay. He was an absolute pleasure to speak with and be around. He even shared his knowledge about the town of Ollantaytambo and the sights we should check out. He gave me a tour of the library and introduced some great books to look through to read about the history of the town and the sacred valley. I highly recommend staying at this resort to disconnect and revitalize your soul, however, I would suggest allocating a couple of days outside of your other planned activities in order to enjoy the nature, food and the resort itself without any interruptions. :)

"Mid 20s trip to Peru Stayed at Las Qolqas"

10.0

Our experience at Las Qolqas has been amazing we all wish we had more time here. It is relaxing and serene and like nothing we have ever experienced. The staff was impeccable and very attentive. They welcomed us with a tour and welcome drinks. Everything was so clean and when we came home at the end of the day our room was clean and blinds were drawn for us. Our group tent was great for our group of six and could definitely fit 8 comfortably. We were able to lead our own yoga class in the dome and we did the cooking class which included a walk through the orchard, a cocktail making lesson, a lesson on making trout ceviche, and then two more courses after eating the ceviche that we made. They arranged all of our drives to town and to and from the train to Machu Picchu (including sending us with take away breakfasts for the train). My friends and I could not recommend this resort enough -do not hesitate to book here!

This property was spectacular. We stayed one night on the way down from Mach Picchu. The moment we arrived we wished we had more time. The grounds were beautiful and the river running alongside made for a very peaceful setting. The staff was extremely friendly. The group tent was super family friendly with kids staying in the loft area and two private bedrooms downstairs.

"100% would return!!"

We loved this place so much!! What a gorgeous place to pause and take in the mountains. The staff was a delight and the setting…dang. It was amazing. We loved our room and the super chill vibe of the property. Getting into town was easy either by walking or shuttle.

"Select staff that fits the standard"

4.0

This place, surrounded by such breathtaking beauty, is sadly overshadowed by the poor service they provide. Unfortunately, we ended up in this location which, upon arrival, seemed like a stunning destination. But regrettably, an arrogant and pretentious service ruins the entire experience. If they truly aspired to live up to the name and reputation they give themselves, they would need to change many things. The current reality leaves a bitter impression, especially when they present themselves as a luxurious establishment, yet their attention feels more like that of amateurs. To top it all off, the struggle to communicate with someone who speaks English is deeply disappointing and entirely unacceptable.

"The title of "LUXURY" is far too grand for them to promote it that way"

4.0

This establishment is beautiful on its own, but the truth is that selling something under the name of "luxury" falls drastically short of expectations. When my husband and I visited, we were hoping for high-quality service that matched the grandeur they were trying to sell us. Instead, all we encountered were people who clearly have no idea how to deliver a luxury experience. First and foremost, the food was an absolute abomination considering the exorbitant prices. We tried to enjoy what they claimed was a "delicious meal," but the experience was nothing short of disastrous. To make matters worse, it wasn’t just the restaurant that disappointed us. Everything about this place was overpriced, and the service was painfully MEDIOCRE—barely reaching a standard level, let alone luxurious. We tried to remain calm and make the best of the situation, but this establishment left us with nothing but a bitter taste of regret for choosing it.
