I really enjoyed the room and the view from our room. Getting to the property is somewhat tricky but once you are there it off the beaten path. There are not many rooms so you dont have to worry about foot traffic or seeing people around. I would definitely stay there when I return.
The view of the ocean was amazing, especially in the early morning, we got to see a couple of makaws flying around

The view was amazing w/ the private pool
The room was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchenette was well equipped and the small refrigerator big enough to hold our groceries for the week. The private pool was clean and refreshing and looked upon gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and mountains in the distance. Absolutely stunning!
Location was perfect for us because we drove all over and it was a central spot. The property itself was in a private road/neighborhood feel. And other than the main road it was quiet and no so touristy as the other towns just 15 min away

Akua Oceanview Suites was a wonderful place to visit. The villa was very clean and the view is just incredible! We enjoyed our own private dipping pool and we even saw a monkey in the trees below the villa. The only bad thing is the traffic noise from the street below when you are outside enjoying the pool and views. But once you close the sliding glass doors, it is very quiet. There are excellent restaurants close by and Jaco is just a short drive away. We enjoyed every minute and cannot wait to return.
Beautiful views, but food close by is an issue without a car or guaranteed transportation. Host is very helpful once you can get in touch. Internet doesn't work well, and the last two nights there was no internet at all, which made it difficult to find transport or do anything at all without phone service. No music no TV, no internet, completely cut off. Hot water was an issue until given directions on how the handle should be placed, and there was a sewage smell that was backed up into the room for a few hours every so often! Besides that...great getaway of you want to be isolated.
Enjoyed the view from the back deck and the small pool each day after exploring. Marvelous views at the Akua!
