Akua Ocean View Suites

lovely room with gorgeous ocean view, private little pool, pool chairs, swing chair, backyard table and bench. Room is large with rustic eco-friendly decor. Small kitchen available.

This was a beautiful room and set up. Our room had a large bathroom/shower, the bedroom/kitchen set up were open like a studio. The back patio and pool area were amazing. The only thing that was negative was that instead of going to explore beautiful Costa Rica I didn't want to leave my room! It is in a gated community, the suites have their own little parking lot. The one thing I was unsure of when I booked was if the pool was private and I mean it kinda is but other guests can definitely see you, it is like a duplex set up so if someone chose to be loud while they were outside you would hear them, we never experienced that though. Would love to stay here again someday!

Absolutely gorgeous views!! The room was lovely, much better in person than pictures. The balcony with plunge pool was amazing as well- unobscured sunset views of the pacific from the pool! We would definitely stay here again. The room does get hot during the afternoon and the ac unit couldn’t keep up with the curtains open, but we requested fans and that made a huge difference. The water pressure was a bit wonky at times. And there’s not a closet or a place to sit luggage so we lived out of our suitcase off the floor. Otherwise I wouldn’t change a thing, it was lovely!

The views of the ocean from our pool were stunning! We loved spending time in the pool looking at the ocean and the stars. The space was very clean. We did have a few bugs join us in the main living space. The staff on site cleaned each day and provided us with fresh towels. They were very responsive when we were having WiFi issues, and it was resolved quickly. We loved the quick access to the beach, many restaurants, and national park. We enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful studio with its own pool overlooking the ocean. The view is amazing! We enjoyed the crocodile tour and dining in the area.

Spent a magical few days in paradise. Everything was perfect. We loved the how secluded it was and spent the evenings in the pool watching the stars.

We will be back! It was so clean. The staff are friendly, helpful and give great recommendations. The area around the suites was perfect! Love being in a more local environment to really learn about the country. Laura was amazing and could not have helped us more. We felt so comfortable and safe. We will definitely be back!!!!

We had a great stay here! The owner was very nice and accommodating.. the view was amazing the pool was amazing too!

Nice view, private dipping pool, good location for bird watching guides in Tarcoles. But if your neighbors are outside, you can hear them very well even if you can’t see them. And the driveway is very steep, wouldn’t want to try it in rainy season even with 4wd. Usable kitchen for actual cooking, but no place to hang anything, and yet very cute accents. Putting pegs into some of the ample empty wall space would improve utility greatly. Would stay again if looking to go birding with a local guide again, but rather pricey choice.
