Key to door lock was really stiff. There were 2 entrances and the top was was just a snib no lock bit of a security risk The electric kept tripping we think it was an issue with the smaller room sockets Shower on suite shower full of hair we do feel the apartment wasn’t spotless and was a bit tired the crockery pots n plates need renewed beds not the most comfortable and pillows were thin

The location was ideal especially for travelling to Prestwick. However you have to return the key to a box at a hotel in Ayr town centre. Very inconvenient and delays your departure,

The keys are not at the property, you collect and return them to a box at a hotel in the town centre. This is OK for collection but an inconvenience when leaving. You have to make your way back to the town centre, going the opposite way from the roads to the motorway. I would advise going straight to your apartment and checking it first before buying food. After collecting the keys we made our way to the property. On entering the property we found the bins were overflowing with beer bottles and other rubbish, beds not made etc. It was obvious no cleaner had attended despite being told the property was ready and the keys made available. It highlights a quality system failure when keys are made available for a property that has not been cleaned. It was bitterly cold and we had travelled for a few hours. On telephoning the Donnini office, I was informed it would be several hours before a cleaner could be arranged and I would be looking at a minimum three hour wait. They offered to reimburse me £50 towards a meal. After waiting for three hours with no contact or update, I telephoned them to be told the person I had been speaking with had gone home. After a couple of more calls I was informed the apartment had been cleaned. The cleaner must have parked elsewhere as we sat in the car for over three hours and no one parked. On re-entering the apartment it had been tidied up although a hand towel was left in the kitchen. On Boxing Day (the day before my arrival) I received a courtesy call from customer services. However after my call about the apartment not being cleaned. no contact was made by customer service. They made no contact during our stay or a £50 reimbursement.

The property is spacious and reasonably well equipped, with a good river view. It's a good place to stay but with a little more care, it would be a fantastic place to stay.

Just more attention to detail - only one dining chair to sit on (albeit this was rectified); no bin bag in the kitchen waste bin. Broken blind in master bedroom. Bedroom ceiling light not fixed properly. Eclectic badly arranged furniture. You Tube channel on the TV currently in Russian!

Location to restaurants and being able to look out over the river was great.

Furniture was not what we contracted and paid for. Couch and sitting area was uncomfortable. Throw blankets had actual brown gunk stuck to them and very stained. Small sitting area chair was broken. No coffee table. No closets. They had one of the king beds we needed, but it was in the small room. There was no space to even get changed in that room. We had to disassemble the beds and switch the rooms they were in to make it work. No place to even put a suitcase in the small room. Sheets and beds were very stained. Small enough suite bathroom shower was so small, you couldn’t even bend over to wash your legs. The other bathroom was larger and nicer, but would have been better if it was in the large bedroom. Tried to get things replaced and or fixed and the service hung up on me. They need to refund at least some of the money. Real dirty bait and switch!
