USI loved everything about the property… the house is absolutely lovely, the staff is wonderful, kind and accommodating. And I really loved how the house was decorated for the holidays - made you feel cozy and warm.
The only drawback and it’s really a personal preference because there is nothing to dislike & it is truly is in THE BEST location (huge advantage) is the noise outside BUT it also quiets down at the right time which was around 10:30/11pm and considering where this property is located, that is incredible. I’m from Miami and if this house was located in one of the most touristy locations such as South Beach or the French Quarter in New Orleans, as this one is in comparison, the noise level would be off the roof and all night. PLUS, the hotel provides all the comforts a guest may need to help them with any noise or discomfort (if any) you may have, if any. The noise is truly so minor but it’s important that a guest knows. NOTE: we stayed in the best room (I am BIAS because I loved our room) on the second floor facing the street so this noise issue may not be an issue in any of the other rooms. Would I stay here again? 100%! Would I recommend it to family, friends and clients? 100%!
My husband and I stayed here this past weekend and we had an amazing experience. Once you arrive there is nothing to worry about! You have free parking, free snacks, and amazing breakfast! This family business is exceptional! Book it! We stayed in memories!

USIncredible Location, only a few minutes from downtown. Staff is simply phenomenal, and the breakfast service is just top notch. We stayed in Room #1 located on the first floor at the front of the property. It was clean, orderly, quaint, and full of amenities. While the price for a single night stay was a bit more than I am used to spending, considering the timing and festivities I felt it was a very well valued stay. Thank you to the team at Old Powder House Inn!
The building is old, and does not have the greatest sound insulation. We were awoken all evening and early morning by street-sweepers and school buses. However, the inn provides you with complementary ear plugs and a white noise machine. I do not blame the establishment for any of these things, and so it did not affect my scoring. However, I would like it to be known to anyone else with a chance of staying in Room #1.
USStop here for a night in St Augustine. Was an amazingly beautiful little historic house. Right near old town with easy access to everything. The owner was amazing. We WILL BE BACK
