Western Hotel Ouray

This was the first time I have stayed at this property, and would do so again! Suzanne was there to greet my wife and I and showed us around, introducing us to the mixologist behind the bar, as well as the chef. Everyone working there was very nice and accommodating. The spa in the lower level was beautifully relaxing, and in the morning, the cold plunge was exhilarating! The dinner was the absolute best food I have ever consumed in Ouray!!! So glad we didn't explore other dining options! The Western Hotel is a pricier option than most in Ouray, but it is well worth the money!

An amazing new addition to Ouray. I've waited awhile to see the place open. The restaurant is AMAZING! I also loved the hotel guest room design. Very chic and the views and fireplace are amazing. Check out the spa on the lowest level.

Wonderful restaurant and bar. Early December is a nice quiet time to visit.

Although website does say no elevator, it does not say the stairs are very steep. And there's no one to help you with your bags. We had to carry our bags up three flights of stairs. The hotel was clean. The free snacks in the room was nice. The bed was uncomfortable (a thin mattress on a platform.) thankfully we only stayed one night.

My buddy and I stayed at the Western while fly-fishing in the area. It was great! Rustic chic decor appropriate for the town. Comfortable well-appointed rooms, many with views of surrounding mountains in the box canyon. Gorgeous spa where we had excellent massages one morning. We ate dinner at the restaurant two nights - both meals were superb. We particularly enjoyed dining at the table by the kitchen. Fabulous cocktails, friendly and helpful staff - highly recommend.

We didn’t spend the night here, but we did half food and drink on one day and dinner the next. They have a great little happy hour offers affordable pricing on cocktails and light bites. The crispy chicken thighs were amazing! Dinner the next night was superb with, a top-of-the-line New York strip perfectly grilled as well as pan fried halibut with a crispy crust and all the right accompaniments Were bold and even spicy. The kitchen does not show away from bold flavors, which is awesome! The location is off the main drag in historic building from the 1890s. Superb renovations brought back this old structure to its former glory. Not to be missed!

Super cool property that feels old timey but upgraded and nice. Love the basement cold plunge and hot tub grotto area.

Such an amazing place to stay and highly recommend it! We loved the room and the staff was amazing. We also recommend getting a drink at the bar and chatting up with John and Eric they will not disappoint. Chefs table for dinner is also a great experience and we highly recommend it. Over all this place will make you feel pampered and happy.
