The Bodie Hotel

We loved this little hotel! The history was so cool! Simple room with no TV in room...and I'm good with that...common area with fridge and microwave and TV. Host was extremely personable!

A lovely little Victorian hotel in Bridgeport. The ownersspent a lot of time and money refurbishing it, bringing it up to more modern standards and comfort, without sacrificing it 19th century charm. They are very nice people, very helpful and kind. It's definitely not your usual country motel. It has character and charm. I have stayed in to other places in Bridgeport in past years. This one I would go to again.

This is a place with absolutely stacks of character! An old building dating from the late 1800s, lovingly restored by its current owners - who are super friendly and hospitable! An ideal stop on the way to or from Yosemite.

The pictures made the place look completely updated - rooms were. I sly decorated. However when we went to check in saw dry rot around western outside wall.Pictures showed modern electrical but our room had push button plugs. Our upper room sloped down. Stairs were steep and rickety - when I asked for our fee back the owner refused.

In one word- AMAZING. Charming family owned Little hotel, extremely tastefully decorated with authentic old western furniture and decorations, including old frames and pictures. Very clean and comfortable! Owners are super nice, helpful and flexible. We only wish we could have stayed an extra night. In one word-wow!

This property has been under new management since 2021 so prior negative reviews should mostly be ignored. The new owners have been working hard to renovate and the place is looking beautiful. If you plan on visiting the ghost town in Bodie you should stay a night here after you see it. Very fun to stay in a building that was moved from that town and has such rich history.
