Great location. Love the Hotel history. Owner very nice..

Awesome place with history. Very friendly owner who upgraded our family to two bedrooms since at the time it wasn't booked ( free of an extra charge). Morning coffee in the lobby. Would be nice to have some seating area in the back of hotel one day :). Great place to stay a few nights and do some hikes, see nearby lakes; creeks; hot springs, just to stay close to the nature. We will be back!

Loved our stay this past weekend! Clean and convenient after a long day of driving. It’s cool to be able to sleep in such a historic building. The owner Jeff, was super accommodating. Located on the Main Street of Bridgeport so was able to grab a bite and shop at the general store within steps of the front door. Will be back next time I’m in the area.

Ranking this hotel 5 stars for their great customer service - and we didn’t even get to stay there. Unfortunately due to some unforeseen circumstances The Bodie Hotel was unable to open on time. Jeff contracted us and explained we would be given a full refund, offered countless apologies and offered to find us other accommodations. We were looking forward to staying here and hope that the next time we are in the area we will be able to. Great customer service that is hard to find these days!

The Bodie Hotel was a wonderful hotel and our room had gorgeous velvet wallpaper. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a very old building, with lots of history, and more like an H&S without the breakfast. The owner checked us in and was generous and very busy. Because it’s an old building, there are some quirks, which we appreciated, but some may not. Our sink was outside the bathroom and in the bedroom, there wasn’t a mini fridge in the room but several in the common area, gaps between the bottom of the door, and a few small fixups still needed. But the owner was forthright about the work needed and the efforts being put in. It’s centrally located and a great place to stay overall. Can’t wait to see it get even better.

What a wonderful hotel. The rooms, the history, the preservation. Room is very comfortable. The bathroom situation may seem interesting, but remember what you're checking into: a hotel that was moved from a ghost town to Bridgeport, and left very much intact. Wonderful, gracious owner on site, loved the story of the heritage of the place. Great eating options within a couple blocks walking distance.

Tons of ambience and charm. Owners are still in the process of upgrading this old hotel but they are off to a great start. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The new owner Jeff was very accommodating during our stay early October 2022. We went to check out Bodie and nearby hot springs- he gave us handouts on local unique sites to see including a drive through beautiful fall leaf colored forest and an historic mine! He also gave us a map of Bridgeport that showed us ghost town locations and historic roads/trails. The hotel has recently been updated and is very boutique-y while still maintaining a historic rustic charm. I highly recommend staying at The Bodie Hotel and know the next time we are in the area- we will book here again! Thank you Jeff for taking such care of us! -Sarah & Brad (Room 7, Oct 5-7 2022)

I liked the history and the furnishings.

Old and falling apart. Very poor facilities in the room. Windows won't open, door doesn't lock. Rust in the sink. Uneven floors.
