Luxury Rooms Rustic Chic

The room is situated in an apartment with other rooms in a beautiful very old building with lots of character. It's absolutely in the heart of Split Old Town with everything to see and do right on the doorstep. We arrived late at around 10:30pm and that was no problem. It was easy to keep in touch with the owner. Being on the 3rd floor means that despite the very central location, you can sleep and there is double glazing and aircon which also helped with that. It's romantic, private and immaculate. It was nice to have a fridge and cups and glasses and a kettle too. An excellent stay, thank you. Loved it!

Struttura in posizione molto centrale, ottima per visitare il centro, prendere traghetti per fare gite in giornata ma anche pullman per raggiungere città limitrofe e aeroporto. Tutto molto pulito e ordinato. La proprietaria si é dimostrata sin da subito molto disponibile e gentile; per qualsiasi cosa rispondeva tempestivamente su whatsapp, ci ha permesso di lasciare i bagagli in struttura per tutta la mattina in quanto avevamo il viaggio nel pomeriggio. Viaggiavamo in tre e l’alloggio era perfetto a livello di spazi; presente aria condizionata e phon professionale (che per noi ragazze con i capelli lunghi é fondamentale! :P ) Super consigliato!

I asked repeatedly if there might be a problem because my arrival would be late at night, about 10 or 11 PM. I was told over and over there would be no problem and that the driver I had hired would drop me at the apartment. Instead, I discovered that the driver can’t drop me at the apartment because the apartment is located in the middle of the palace which is a pedestrian zone. So I found myself wandering through the maze of streets in the center of the city at 11 o’clock at night with two suitcases and very little idea of where I was going. I arrive to find that there are no staff on site at all, but I’m expected to figure out some kind of key safe on the side of the door. I tried repeatedly to open the key safe, and was unable to do so. Texting back-and-forth with the remote staff person was unhelpful, and finally the staff person had to call one of his friends who worked at a nearby restaurant to come by and try to help me out. It turned out there is a second key safe higher up that I couldn’t see because it was hidden in the darkness. Even the taller friend he had called could not quite make Out The numbers that needed to be dialed in in order to open up the key safe. Finally with both of us using flashlights and making repeated tries and multiple calls to the remote staff person the key safe was opened. At which point we found that there was no key inside the key safe because one of the other occupants of these apartments had not understood these confusing directions and so had not replaced the keys in the key safe after she had successfully managed to get into the building and her own apartment. The result is that instead of it being an easy process to get into the apartment, it was a miserably long hot and sweaty process at the end of what had been a very long travel day.
