Element by Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk

Follow-up review. Been a long time guest in this hotel. Across the street is an entrance (with elevator) to get to the Riverwalk. Soledad is a busy street, but it is the BEST street because it bumps up to the heart of the city. You will be greeted at the curb by excellent parking attendants like Kenesha and Juan. Likely there will already be a cart waiting for you to unload your vehicle. Next your front desk service comes with a smile and BIG Texas friendliness from Rachel, Maria Fernanda, Gianna, Christopher, Andre, Hannah, Margaret, Morgan, and Sidney. Be sure to give your preference for a Riverwalk view or the more quiet side facing towards a building on Main. Fantastic views all the way to the 12th floor! Some of the rooms have a kitchenette with a dorm sized fridge, small sink, microwave and 2 burner stovetop. There is extra space to store all the little things you accumulate on a long stay. While my personal room doesn't have a dining table, it does have a desk and a cozy chair with a foot stool. I have a delightful view of the city and Riverwalk. Every couple of days, my room is serviced and the room and entire building have a fresh energizing smell. The beds are very comfortable and I often want to catch a few extra minutes of sleep because it is so comfy. The rooms also has central air (not a window unit) which you actually get to control! The hallways are usually comfortable for temperature as well. The hotel also features a free breakfast with the star chef being Ana. Be sure to have a slice of her delicious French toast! I always feel healthy and full eating at this hotel because of the quality breakfast they provide. Each day I look forward to the many people who help service the hotel including Jessica, Seth, Claudette, Gilberto, Teresa, Oswald, Julia, Victoria, Angelina, Keith. Be sure to visit the well stocked and maintained fitness room. 3-4 different stationary bikes, 3-4 ellipticals, different walking and running machines, a multi-workout machine, as well as some focused machines, free weights and exercise balls. Finish up your day having some flavorful herbal teas (Monday to Thursday) or have a quiet wind down during in the lounge area at the A/C hotel adjoining the element hotel. If you get peckish, 1 Watson is only an elevator ride away to enjoy rooftop views either inside or outside this restaurant. The food is always tasty and many times there are special events which bring new and seasonal menus to enjoy. Feel free to sit outside even in winter because there is a heated seating area. While the hotel is certainly a very nice place for an extended stay, the people who work at the element are what makes this hotel feel like a family.

Lovely and peaceful hotel in the middle of it all, but not noisy or crowded like some downtown hotels can be. Fantastic rooftop bar overlooking the city which was gorgeous at night. Seth and Linda in the restaurant were wonderful to talk to and very helpful. The breakfast buffet was minimal but good.

Had a stay with my son at the hotel. We encountered an issue on check in. Night manager HannahClaire went above and beyond to help sort through the problem. GM checked in to make sure all was resolved. Great example of strong management- would stay here again.
