"Nice small house in the mountains."

Nice, small, but quite comfortable house located in the mountains with very nice views.

The reservation process was quite confusing, house owners insisted on getting sensitive credit card details via WhatsApp to process deposit pre-authorization outside of Booking.com, which was neither safe nor convenient. The house was quite dark with very small windows.

We loved the location. Wanlockhead is beautiful with walks right on the doorstep, sheep everywhere, and a friendly pub across the lane. The cottage was spacious and very clean. More than enough room for a family of 4 with a dog!

The only improvement could be upgrading the double bed mattress to a hotel standard. It was clean and new but not the most comfy.
