Nice Pool

An inviting hacienda sitting on the outskirts at Playa Car in a gated community. About 10 spacious rooms surround a well kept swimming pool with adequate space to lounge. There is a shared kitchen and steps down to private cenote. The wifi was reliable and there is decent hot water for showering, however the design of the room makes it difficult to not spray the toilet while showering. Also as another guest mentioned, the sliding doors do not lock. We had a concern during our stay and Luis Sr was sincere in his efforts to ensure all was resolved.

The pool here is the perfect size. The kitchen is amazing, for someone who enjoys grocery shopping it's only a 10 minute walk away. The bed the huge, the hot water was super hot and never ran out. The owner Louis and his father are wonderful people and make you feel right at home. Very much recommend staying here.

I can't think of anything. I tend to research a place I'm staying at and where it's located pretty thoroughly. And this checked every one of my boxes.

The building and compound here is amazing, I just loved it all, the plants and the little nooks and crannies. The room was a lot less visually appealing but very simple and functional. It grew on me as well and was really really huge, lots of space is pretty much the theme. Also, nice to finally get a hotel with a smart TV in the area though you need to have your accounts, there's none offered as part of the package. Family running the place seem really great as well, even helped me print some documents when I needed them last minute. Communication is also really out of the ordinary with super prompt responses before I checked in, a welcome message with directions and a thank you after I left.

Wifi kept wavering. I also never had a sound night's sleep because the windows would not lock and though the area and compound feels very safe I am still not accustomed to sleeping in a ground floor room with windows large enough for anyone to climb in if they felt like it. Lots of mosquitoes as well.

nice garden, nice pool, large rooms, nice balcony, hot water, good wifi, very nice and reliable owner, I left some personal items (inc money, keys, jewellry) in the room and left for a round trip in Yucatan for 2 weeks, the owner preserved them until we went back again

location (next to a highway), you really need a car, no breakfast option (there is a common kitchen though in the garden), reading lamps rarely work

Relaxed atmosphere in an out of town location. Big room. Nice cooking facilities outside. Very friendly owner and family.

Water pressure and hot water may run out.

Facility was pretty nice, pool and common areas were clean. The hotel entrance was fairly secure.

I’m a little surprised this place has such good reviews. My room was SO dirty. Pillows smelled like they had not been cleaned. There was hair everywhere in the room, floor, counter, walls. I’m STILL pulling long black hairs from my luggage. The lock on the sliding door to my room was broken. The lock had been pried apart. There was no way to secure the courtyard entrance to my room, and anyone could have walked right in. As a solo female traveler, I barely slept because of this and there was also no front desk to tell my concern to. I thought the $2100 price was WAY too high for the quality and upkeep of the rooms.
