Griffin Newquay

Great location as very close to the town & beach. Room was lovely but didn’t realise that it was above a very dated pub. Didn’t get much sleep due to outside noise most of the night (drunk people walking around outside). There is very limited parking spaces!

Great location of the hotel and considering you are in the centre, the noise level wasn't too bad, expect from fellow guests who at 1am thought it was ok to talk very loudly waking me up. Unfortunately the bed in the room was extremely uncomfortable, we had to use the extra blanket and sleep on top of the duvet just for some extra padding. There is only 1 comfy chair in the room so if 2 of you then have to swap. The shower tray did not drain properly so stood in the puddle which was up to the top of the tray. Tap in sink did not go to cold so brushed teeth with warm water. One of the windows did not open. No plug sockets close to the bed. Funny smell in the lift and hallway. That said, the staff at breakfast were lovely and the breakfasts were very decent.

A room with a view or not if you like looking directly into the bedroom window of a travel lodge, slightly to the left you could see some sea and a beach so your curtains have to remain closed the whole stay. Went to turn the bedside table light on and forgot to say none to turn off and no plug to actually plug one in. Thought a shower would be good but a very trickle was not good. Sad on the edge of the bed and the mattress went flat to the base, ouch and the pillow was a sand bag. Best part of the visit was the breakfast , quick service ,nice hot plate and cooked fresh

Totally value for money and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Especially Kat. Will definitely return

Service friendly, room slightly dated but clean and comfortable. Great location and free parking is a bonus. Good value. Strangely there was no option to book a twin room including breakfast, whereas it was possible for a double.

Room 17 , stay clear , room from hell when the kitchen extrater goes on , was like torture , they should of told us we would never had stayed in that room .

The hotel has a convenient location, excellent free parking. The staff were sociable, helpful and polite. The hotel gives you everything that you need including a fabulous cooked breakfast. This is not The Ritz but it doesn't claim to be. The Griffin is a good, honest value for money hotel and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Right in the centre of Newquay so was convenient for town and beaches. Friendly staff and easy check in/check out.

Great place with a free car park too.
