The room was great . Very well appointed and clean . Everything I needed and then some. The staff was most excellent.

The location is not great but that is Oakland’s fault. Once inside it is very pleasant and safe. The valet took over 15 minutes to retrieve my car even though I texted them ahead of time to be ready in 15. They said they didn’t get the message. Fortunately I had time

This was such as surprise to my wife and I. To book this nice hotel to only come across that your next door neighbors in the hotel are homeless people. Homeless and other very weird people walk in and out this place with no restrictions. The included breakfast at the restaurant expect to see homeless people too. I have nothing against them but we paid premium prices to avoid experiences like this. Honestly, we were very disappointed and felt unsafe in many occasions. We don't recommend this hotel at all. Staff at the reception was also very rude.
