Spree Hotel Aurangabad

I booked the hotel for my clients an they were very impressed with the staff, cleanliness and the special extra touches made.

Room service food was not cooked properly

Ambience, cleanliness and food was awesome... Restaurant and reception staff was very friendly! Our kids were very much comfortable and enjoyed the stay!!!

Even after requesting the manager and getting permission to use a hall (so called non-functional bar) for birthday celebration, the staff looked quite unhappy and continuously kept on passing comments like- "we gave you this hall for 10 mins but you r using it like a banquet hall for an hour and you have also appointed a photographer for the program"... It was cake cutting for an yr old child, we will definitely take photos... That rude behaviour made our guests unhappy...

I am still waiting for my refund against a cancelled booking ! I have been in touch with their Reservations Counter but appear to be making not much headway even after 3 weeks . Poor show

This has got to be probably one of the worst experiences at a hotel that i have had after years of travelling. A list of issues that pissed me off - 1. The listing on booking.com clearly mentions that no advance payment is necessary and cancellation is free upto 2 days before check-in. Yet, as soon as i completed the booking, i get a series of messages from the hotel asking to immiedietely pay an advance amount in order to treat the booking as confirmed. The message also had lots of typos and grammatical errors, leading me to question its committment to quality. 2. When i and my spouse checked in, we were told that our booking was for single occupancy. This was a mistake from my side. During checkin, we agreed to pay the additional charges for double occupany. I checked on booking.com as well as the hotel's website about the difference in charges and saw in both places that it was an additional Rs. 200 per night. However at the time of checkout the hotel insisted we pay Rs. 2000 instead of Rs. 200 mentioning that this was their "offline" rate. Rs. 2000 additional for the same room and same ammenities ! It was clear that the hotel was trying to make a fast buck and fleecing its customers. We refused to pay this amount and after wasting almost 45 minutes of our time, the person at the reception agreed to reduce it to Rs. 1000. Since we were getting late, i had to pay this amount. 3. This one is hilarious. During checkout, we requested to see a copy of the bill to check for correctness before making the payment. The receptionist said that their systems allow a bill to be generated only after all checkout formalities are completed and that can only be done once the payment is processed. I have stayed in 100s of hotels, but this was the first time, a hotel insisted on receiving the final payment before allowing the customer to verify the correctness of the invoice.

Excellent service from the team, delicious food, big comfortable and clean rooms with everything you need. Our room had a separate lounge area. Property is quite new and highly recommended for Aurangabad stay.
