Luxury Stevenage Town Centre Apartment

Close to town, parking close to entrance door

I didn’t receive email instructions on how to enter property until I called to ask for this. Property location is confusing and unclear as there are 2 similar buildings, and the pass codes work for both main entrances. The property was not setup as agreed via messages, (options agreed were for 2x singles in bedroom and further beds setup in living room) to accommodate 4 persons. Unfortunate I had to make up beds on arrival, which made us late for meeting friends. Proper single beds are not available in the property, all that is available are 2 sofa futons that are cheaply built, and design and not suitable as a bed, (thin mattress) but due time and being unable to find anywhere else at short notice we had to remain in the property. Also the futons were dirty, with human hair and food residue. I use booking.com properties regularly, but would not recommend to stay here due service and beds, and also that person who deals with telephone queries does not speak acceptable English and was unable to understand this simple complaint, able to be of help, but only offer apologies and blame the cleaner for not setting the property up according to agreed messages. Property has a lengthy background and security to go through that was not expected, one has to send a photo of passport and send a photo of booking guest, also large deposit to be left against damage to property, I’m almost sure these areas are against booking.com policies as the property sends messages, emails and telephone calls outside of booking.com protection

The WI-FI connection was good but the password given was incorrect. I figured out the password myself. Nice secured building and that is sadly all.

The apartment looks NOTHING like in the pictures. Terrible check in procedure. Terrible communication. The apartment is run by what appears to be an overseas letting agency and they have no clue what they are doing. They did not send me all the check in details so I had to remind them the day before my arrival. Although a video is sent before check in, it is not very clear where the lockbox is with the keys for the apartment. I walked around with heavy luggage for ages to look for the lockbox which is nowhere near the main entrance to the building where the apartment is. There are no shops near the apartment. A £150 deposit is required and I had to remind them to return it. No early check in is allowed. No bathroom shelf, no towel rack, no clothes rack to dry the clothes and only a tiny iron board. The apartment was not very clean and I noticed the floors were dirty upon my arrival. 2 single beds are put together with a gap between the beds, very uncomfortable. Expensive apartment and not that nice. Cheap furniture and I shall certainly not return. I canceled my second reservation as I could not be dealing with the useless management office again.

location was excellent, nearby park very handy for walking our dogs. the apartment itself was comfortable, clean and well equipped.

Very clean tidy and cosy had everything you needed for a little break .

I loved everything

Bed was comfortable with great bedding and lots of pillows. Bathroom great with good shower and big, soft towels. Kitchen had all the basics plus washer/dryer and dishwasher. Property was very clean and in good condition. Great location!

Sofa was basically a futon and not comfortable to sit on.

Lovely apartment. Close to everything. Friendly people in the complex.

Took a while to work out how to register car in the car park. More appropriate for single people, couples etc rather than for families, although we all did have a lovely time and felt welcome by all the residents we met there.

The 1 bed apartment was clean, tidy and compact. There were three of us my 2 sons stayed in the room and I used the sofa bed. The location of the property is great, only a short walk to old town where you have a variety of food places / restaurants to eat. The train station is also about 10 minutes walk, it is a walking distance to the leisure centre and the shopping mall. The apartment has a dishwasher, washing machine, big fridge freezer, cooking pots and utensils as well as enough plates and cups. The apartment was clean, enough bed linen and towels and the bed was comfortable. I will stay again but it will have to be just for one or two people who can use the bed in the room as the sofa bed is not comfortable at all.

The sofa bed as I said was quite uncomfortable!! After booking there is a security deposit of £150 you have to pay which they say will be released 3 days after you check out, mine has taken a few days more and still waiting. There is a laborious process of uploading your ID documents before check in instructions can be sent. 1 toilet roll was left for 3 people for 5 days, no hand soap in the bathroom and they do not provide shower / bath soap. I spoke to a gentle man about the toiletries, he confirmed they do not provide soap but the toilet roll and hand soap issue may have been down to the cleaners. We had to buy extra toilet roll and hand wash. He apologised and said we should have informed them when we got in and they would have sent some.
