The whole cottage itself was beautiful, clean and in a great location. Owners really helpful with regular contact. Nice little personal touches

Nothing to dislike

Location was perfect. Quiet little street with the seafront just around the corner. Also, just round the corner was a convenience store which was very handy. The cottage is very tastefully decorated and we enjoyed learning about the owners' renovation journey of the cottage. We parked on the nearby car park which wasn't far from the cottage.

Just some observations (not negatives). We felt that a dishwasher would have been more use than a washing machine in the kitchen. The bathroom could benefit from a small pedal bin.

The location was brilliant. The cottage was well - equipped.

Shipmates is a lovely cottage, beautifully and tastefully decorated with lots of character. The cottage is very clean and very well appointed for everything you could need for a stay (we were here for nights). The kitchen has everything you need. The location is excellent in the South Bay 'old town' area with easy access to the beach, harbour, pubs, bars, restaurants and take aways (fish and chips). The main town centre is also just a 10-15 min walk away.

No parking at the property itself, but there is a public car park c 50 metres away - free from 6pm-9am, but if you leave your car there all days it's £12.

Gorgeous street near the sea . So beautiful inside and out and decorated so well . Lovely touches like lots of coat hooks everywhere. Really cosy and warm and comfy beds . Loved the space it was perfect in every way

My wife has poor mobility, the stairs are narrow with no handrail, which was a bit of an issue but understand the reasoning why they were missing

Our second stay this year and everything was as faultless as always. An absolute gem of a place. Can't wait for our next stay :)
