The main entrance of the street is bit complicated, you should call the hotel to make the door open but the problem is cellphone is not taking in that place

Loved everything here. We had delicious lunch when we arrived and breakfast was also delicious. I loved that we could just message them in Whatsapp to order. Rooms are super clean and have everything you will need and there was a porch and terrace with a gorgeous view. The best part was the service though. The owner helped us to get anything we needed and a reliable taxi on our way to the airport.

There are a lot of items there you need to pay extra for, that I think they can minimize to fewer items.

The property is great for individuals or couples, not for families. The property is a bit secluded, if you dont have a car a small taxi will do.

On the first morning, we were awoken by an aggressive dog (huskey?) trying to get into the room through the sliding door. When I went outside to get rid of it, it started jumping up and would not leave. The staff on reception were not helpful in getting rid of it, advising it was a neighbours dog. The dog then returned and got passed me into the room and jumped onto the bed where my partner was laying. It then started snarling which even as a dog owner was scary. There was nothing myself or the staff could do to get rid of it, and then didn't even seem bothered to try. Breakfast served on the terrace is lovely, but not when a dog is trying to grab the food. On the second night, my friends were staying in one of the adjoining cabins. The guests next door to them were playing very loud music until way past 3am with zero soundproofing between the rooms. There is no 24hr staff to complain to and staff do not respond to the 'concierge' text service. Whilst helpful in arranging taxis into town, there needs to be more staff presence, particularly through the night. The language barrier perhaps proved part of the issue but they seem inexperienced and unable to offer the service such a nice facility deserves. Avoid if you're scared of dogs.

We are delighted we discovered Sotavento Cabanas. it is a true gem of a small resort. It is set outside the town of Guatape, but an easy 10 minute ride by tuk tuk to the activity, giving you the very best of both worlds. We were in coral cabin, which was on the second floor. The view of the water with the great rock in close distance was wondrous. It seemed that all the cabins had excellent views. We had dinner there two nights, both were first rate and reasonable. Included a lovely breakfast served on your balcony, which never disappointed.

This small resort strives for perfection both in the beauty of the facility as well as the welcoming service of the staff, no need for improvement needed.

The rooms are beautiful and the views are breathtaking. The breakfast was very basic/below average. The service felt more like an Air BnB than a hotel. The staff were not very knowledgeable or accommodating. They asked me to pay for the reservation when it was all paid upfront and had to explain for ages but they didn’t speak English at all. Also when two of my friends joined for breakfast one day they wanted to charge both of them for breakfast even though I had a booking for two. They finally agreed to only charge one. But they wouldn’t let us walk around in the public areas of the hotel and said we could only stay in the restaurant. Al we wanted was to enjoy the view for a few minutes before I checking out, but they wouldn’t budge. This lack of being accommodating over such a simple request is why it gets a 6/10 for me.
