Hotel Fiescherblick

This is now one of our favorite hotels in the world. The location is incredible and the room we stayed in had the most amazing view of the mountains and the church. Sitting on our balcony almost felt unreal, as if we were in a postcard. Our room was a great size, much larger than the typical rooms we find in Europe. It was a perfect room for a five day stay. However, it is the amazing staff that sets this hotel from anywhere else we have ever stayed. Specifically, Andrew at the front desk and Edith at breakfast. We have stayed in incredible hotels all over the world and have never experienced someone as eager and joyful to serve his guests as Andrew. He went out of his way to make sure each guest was cared for and that everything about their time in Grindelwald was perfect. And going to breakfast every morning and seeing Edith was like visiting a longtime friend. She treated you as if you were in her own home. That is likely the best way I can summarize staying at this hotel. It was like staying with people who treated you like you were their family. I hope to return one day just to relive this experience.

Loved the exceptional staff - very friendly and helpful. The room (panoramic view) was incredible, very spacious with amazing view of Mt. Eiger. Breakfast was tasty. Very walkable in Grindelwald and to/from train station. Stellar stay, I would definitely stay again!

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It is impeccable in its design and cleanliness. The staff are truly spectacular. Knowledgeable friendly and just all around wonderful. A special acknowledgment for Andrew. He made wonderful suggestions for us to work around the rain and weather The rooftop tub and sauna are amazing. We had the tasting dinner there and it was very special. If they do not have a Michelin star yet they deserve one. Amazing! The owners are hands on and wonderful.

Beautiful hotel, great location… slightly out of the centre but this meant it was peaceful yet only 5-10 mins walk to the main square. The room was spacious with great amenities - including robes and slippers which is welcome. Good size balcony with incredible views. The spa is a nice extra. Private parking on site. Super helpful concierge who know the best hikes and could also buy our gondola tickets directly. Amazing restaurant - so glad we managed to get a reservation during our 4 night stay. The tasting menu and wine pairing was excellent. Love that a hotel of this quality allows dogs too. Lars and the team are brilliant. Thank you! Ps Well done to Lars on the Eiger 51! 4.5/5.0 - So many great things: - Very nice hotel, friendly staff - Great location, very close to so many things - Nice size rooms, nice decor, beautiful views - Breakfast is fantastic - Bus stops right outside the hotel - Very quiet - Great balcony Only reason why I wouldnt give a full 5-stars is the lack of air conditioning/bedding situation. This is probably not an issue most of the year, but we went in the summer though and it was hot. Had to have windows open, which feels a little insecure, also they dont have screens on windows so bugs can come in. I will say we were surprised by the lack of bugs that did get in (only a couple), but we had a whole system with the curtains/fans (which we needed to borrow the fans from the front desk to get the cool air in though). The other issue was the bedding, you only are given 1 (overly soft pillow per person) and given a large thick comforter (no sheets). Again, if you stayed in the winter this is probably adequate, but in the summer, with no AC the last thing you want to cover yourself with is a thick comforter.

The stay at Hotel Fiescherblick was very nice. The room and hotel is very convenient, clean and has parking place. Staff are super nice and helpful. The location is just in the center. And one thing a like is the dinner is fine dinning and it is excellent. I will stay there next time

Very nice accommodation in a quiet spot, out of the way of the majority of town traffic. The weather was quite warm, we were grateful to have a fan provided, then a room change with more air flow. Breakfast was fabulous, as was the special dinner we took advantage of. The staff was very well trained, and adept at providing information and support.

My wife and I spent 5 days in Grindelwald. The staff were wonderful, attentive and some of the best I’ve ever come across. Andrew at the front desk was incredibly knowledgeable about the various hikes and suggested itineraries to get away from the tourist traps and see the true backcountry through some very challenging high altitude day hikes. The food was amazing, breakfast is a hard YES and gastro meal was amazing. I cannot rec this hotel enough.
