It’s a period property with a lot of original features.

The company that manages the property is not very cooperative. They have a strict No cancellation policy regardless of how long before you wish to cancel, they charge a £300 deposit prior to stay etc. The location is very secluded. If you’re not coming by car - don’t bother. The house is published for 7 guests, and indeed it has 4 bedrooms but only one bathroom (inc. toilet) and another separate toilet downstairs. Make up your own mind if it is fit for 7 adults.

It was an amazing property, with a lot do the original detail which was absolutely stunning!

There was nothing not to like, but it would be helpful to have some check out instructions as I was a little unsure how to leave the beds/ rubbish etc.

The building itself was amazing and the location but it failed dismally on the furnishings and fittings which was a real shame.

Sadly it was very disappointing.Very poor facilities and furnishings. The cleanliness was poor and did not reflect the £220.00 inclusive cleaning fee. Cobwebs and dust in accessible areas/dirty drawers including some of the kitchen cupboards. Curtain rails (or plastic wires) in just a couple of the bedrooms but No curtains.I had enquired before our visit- and was referred ‘ to look at the pictures’…I had done this which is why I was asking the question.!! Nowhere near enough cutlery, glasses or crockery for 5 guests let alone the 7 the max occupancy advertised.Are you expected to eat your breakfast cereal or pudding with a large serving spoon? There were just 4 serving spoons and 8 teaspoons -and just 1 dessert spoon. 6 wine glasses and less tumblers or are you expected to use the champagne flutes for water?The coffee machine needed thorough cleaning and removing of the limescale before use. Broken clothes rail,a 2 slot toaster not really adequate when cooking breakfast for 5 let alone 7. Dishwasher is old with broken bits and very hard to open the door fully without forcing it. The only bath was chipped and had no anti-slip mat which made it quite hazardous. Stained Mattress. The light switch by the back door flickered and faltered which again is a potential hazard. The back door latch needs screwing into place….the scruffy grubby dog door stay needs stitching up or actually better that it is replaced. Very scratchy bath towels and in two of the bedrooms only a large towel and no hand towel. In all the places I have rented through booking.com I have never had to take the rubbish down a lane to the rubbish bins especially when a cleaning fee of £220 has been taken. The interior of the house was sad and grubby. The Information folder was filthy with coffee stains , and lacking full instructions for the cooker, dishwasher etc… Altogether it was very,very,very disappointing accommodation. And hopefully the managing agents will take note of these comments.

The property contents were all very good but there were no frills, which, as we had a nine month old bay crawling around and a 3 year old sister running around meant we were able to relax.

The property is lovely and spacious and had everything we needed.

This is an amazing property and the second time we have gathered here as a family. The hosts are exceptionally accommodating and very responsive. There is every facility you could possibly want, heating, hot water, kitchen full of appliances, laundry room. The property is super spacious and has a welcoming atmosphere and is tranquil and calm. Personally I could move in, we loved it that much. Value for money. Totally loved it.

The house was great value for money and a good size for a group of 7 and there was enough parking for us multiple cars. The double rooms were all massive, the single was a little small but still comfortable. The location is near countrysides and nice walks.

The sofa area was not large enough for us all but this was fine as the kitchen table was big enough to sit around which was all we needed. The house could do with some simple additions like some more mirrors and bedside lamps.
