Those choosing to stay in the Shearers Quarters have access to their own shared living space, kitchen, BBQ area and car parking. Both areas are located approximately 0.6 mi apart and do not share facilities.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. "wouldn’t return"

nicely renovated homestead

booked the Barr Smith room as a twin. spoke directly to the owner about this but despite false reassurance, the room had not been made a twin and couldn’t be altered from king on arrival according to young lady showing us around. Website says Sunday to Wed guests will be offered a pre-prepared Chef meal served by ‘the team’. Didn’t happen. likewise G&t mini bar. Also no running water to homestead in the morning, apparently fixed well after checkout time. Supplies to make own breakfast were offered but we just left underwhelmed and unclean. Oh, and had paid full price with no offer of any form of compensation. I suspect as the only guests for a Sunday night, it appeared we didn’t matter to owner much. Bigger groups would probably do better. Trying to keep this place in your family is admirable but unless you care about guests, it may be a pipe dream

Will who manages the property was absolutely amazing at accommodating our needs.The property and its surroundings are beautiful and it's in a great distance to get to the grampians for the weekend. A huge 10/10 and recommend to anyone for a luxury weekend escape!

"why stay anywhere else when traveling through the Grampians? the rooms are beautifully renovated, the grounds are gorgeo"

Gorgeous design, fun history, beautiful grounds, friendly staff . quiet and private. utilizing the amazing kitchen to cook was really cool. so lovely to stroll around and see the animals.

Pool needed to be cleaned, instructions to grab groceries or dinner before arriving would have been helpful since the property is pretty far from town.

clean

we didn’t notice it was a share bathroom. The property photos a bit missed leading. the result we feel disappointed to stay in there. Also we contact the stuffs if they could provide a breakfast or not. Take them few days to reply. of course we can just go to the town to find meals.
