As former members of this community, my husband and I travel back to visit family and friends often. Being our anniversary trip, we decided to spend a little more on a hotel and an upgraded room for the three nights we were here in Healdsburg. It was a very disappointing room. Yes it had a fireplace, yes, it had a soaking tub, but the lighting in the bathroom was ridiculous. My sight is just fine and I had a very difficult time being able to fix my hair in the morning because I couldn’t see what I was doing. The coffee pot was broken and the sink faucet wasn’t fastened down and kept moving around. there is not very good lighting in the bedroom either..It seems Hilton doesn’t want to run any lightbulbs greater than 20 Watts. My husband is nearly completely blind and relies on light for shadows so he can safely move around the room and particularly the bathroom area when I spoke with the front desk manager she said it would all be taken care of in about two hours later, she called me and told me they put a lamp in the bathroom and that everything else have been fixed. We got back late that evening and yes, there was a lamp in the bathroom. Nothing else had been fixed. I called in in the morning and an engineer brought up a new coffee pot. Next day, despite a second request…Nothing else has been fixed and we’re checking out in the morning. I remember when Hilton hotel chain used to have lovely amenities for their guests. Well, there were no amenities here. In fact there wasn’t even any ice on the floor we were staying on. We had to go downstairs to the front desk and ask them to fill the ice bucket for us every time we want ice. The elevator is not working correctly and it takes approximately a minute of waiting after you push the button before it’ll go up or down and that makes a huge alarm if you want to take the stairs, you better not forget your key. It’s clear that housekeeping does come in and change towels that were left on the floor, but they certainly don’t wipe down the floors or wipe out the tub or shower area and they certainly don’t vacuum. So I think this is the first time in my 52 years of adult traveling, I will not be leaving a tip for the housekeeper. It makes me sad.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, good location.

Besides the property & rooms being so nice the Staff were so friendly & helpful. I highly recommend this property close to all the downtown shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants.
