Castle Cottage Winchcombe

My wife always wanted to stay in a cottage and this met all expectations , a lovely , quiet place. Everything was great.

TV position but this was minor.

Host was helpful with tourist information and wonderful local pub hospitality and meal. Highlight of the trip. We would have liked some laundry detergent as we travelled far from New Zealand. Also shower gel and or soap supplies would be helpful. Firewood supplies would have made the place cosy. As would some personal touches like home baked bread or personalised note. Strict rules on heating times in winter and not so friendly cleaning staff 5 mins after check out time after paying additional late check out sadly.

It was a privilege to live for a week in a three-centuries-old cottage. mindful of its generations of previous occupants. It now has modern conveniences and is very comfortable. The location is convenient to a bakery and grocery store. Short walks through the village lead to numerous walking trails into the beautiful surrounding countryside.
