"No access to the rooftop venue"

On a recent trip to Scottsdale, we spent two nights at this property. Service was friendly and the rooms were clean with comfy beds. One of our reasons in selecting this hotel was to enjoy the rooftop terrace shown on the website pictures; unfortunately upon arrival, we were told that this was a venue for private events at it was closed. Overall it’s a nice property, but we would have chosen an alternate location had we known about the terrace in advance.

"It's the A/C Unfortunately"

This is a beautiful hotel. It has so many nice amenities. Starbucks, a beautiful bar and restaurant, a pool, huge gorgeous open air lobby (on cool days). It has everything you would want. Beautiful rooms with high ceilings, double windows for no noise and a great location. You can self park if you don't want to valet and it is steps from the front door. So convenient. BUT...the bad side and the reason we won't stay here again unfortunately. We turned on the A/C. Wowza. We are talking a 747 taking off. We couldn't believe it. Fortunately we were here in December so we waited for the room to get to 69 or 70 and shut it off. We tried ear plugs but it was still so loud! I don't know how someone could sleep here when temps hit 90 or 100 or 120. We were so disappointed because we thought we had hit gold. Maybe you can sleep with loud noise. If so definitely stay here. Everything else is perfect.

Top notch in every way. Totally warm , while professional and efficient staff, beautiful high ceilings and amazing artwork. We have stayed at an Aman Hotel ( Jackson Hole) and I describe this place as having the peaceful happiness of Amangani while being in a very central to everything location. Not an easy combination! Could not be a better choice in Scottsdale. Great dining on site. Nice pool too! How rare it is for me to even take decor photos in a hotel for my “great decor”Pinterest page. Or research the artists that have created the artwork in their lobby. Minutes to hiking trails, museums, and stores. Serves as an amazing solution for out of town guests - if you live in Scottsdale. Makes visits happy and easy! Worth every penny! Hard to do the hotel justice with a review.
