The Bissing House

Cute little place. I felt well taken care of.

The property takes you back in time to the turn of the 19th century. Stairs and floors creak with character, the stairs and banister are a reminder of grandparent's home as I grew up. The breakfast was personally made and it was perfect.

I needed a room for a night and they were happy to welcome me. The room was clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. Great location, could walk everywhere. Street parking was easy, but it was a Sunday, so not sure about weekdays.

I liked everything about my stay.

We stayed one night from trip of Arkansas to Colorado. The breakfast was good, Michele was friendly. Room very quaint and shower great with up to date. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were a surprise. Knew it might be a challenge for my husband to climb to 2nd floor, and it was since he's had a stroke, but would stay here again.

An OK experience … certainly acceptable. But let’s be honest … this is an old house that needs repair and updating. If you like antiques, then it’s fine. However, be prepared for squeaky floors, squeaky beds, and facilities that are not are not quite up to snuff. There are only 3 rooms, and it can be noisy while neighbors are getting settled. Otherwise definitely quiet and away from the hubbub of I70.

Love the location and history of locale. Decor and furniture lovely.

Light and fan in suite didn’t work. Uncomfortably warm and unable to adjust temperature. Breakfast not offered until 8:30, we had to leave before then for our competition.

New Year’s Eve weekend stop while on a road trip to Colorado wanted to stay downtown so this was a perfect spot .

Beyond what was expected!!
