"Best place ever!"

This place is amazing, I’m not sure who the two people are who gave it a 9 but… I’d like to say more great things about this place but I’m afraid if I do then it won’t be my little secret anymore.

"Second time in same room."

Forgot to order the breakfast the night before. Last time I stayed in the same room, there was yogurt in the fridge. Like that it's walking distance from Gella's.

Great alternative to a hotel on a long drive across country. Fresh made breakfast works great unless you want to hit the road early. Close to good food and beer

"This is a perfect monument to an age of civility."

Unlike a few Elizabethan homes we've stayed in, this one is in excellent repair and condition.

It might have been nice to open a window, but that might have defeated the cooling system.

We found this property and saw the reviews as well as the reasonable price so we went ahead and booked it. Wow! It was better than expected with easy parking, walking access to a nice brew pub and the best breakfast anywhere! The breakfast with other like-minded travelers was pleasantly unexpected. We will be back!

"Staying en route elsewhere or in town, recommend"

Using google maps, the location off I-70 very easy and quick. Parking also easy. Everything as promised, and after a long long day on the road, appreciated the simple access to a pleasant and comfortable room at the end of the day. Would stop there again heading west. Sorry not to have time for the Hays itself.

Only one thing. There were two of us and the online breakfast menu choice didn't seem to allow the two of us different choices. On site however, the door handle breakfast orders did in fact allow us. Breakfast service was prompt and adaptable....

Beautifully restored and updated Victorian in the heart of Hays. Wonderful staff and service with delicious made-to-order breakfast. Lots of amenities including a binder detailing historic profiles of the namesake of each room. Glad we found this gem through Orbitz. Already made reservations to stay there again on our return trip.
