Starlight Motel

The room had a very strong odor of cleaner in it when I arrived. It was too strong. Almost as if they were trying to make sure you know it was cleaned by using copious amounts of cleaner.

Wir waren für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise hier und waren angenehm überrascht. Es handelt sich um ein kleines, einfaches Hotel mit einem extrem freundlichen Besitzer. An dem Abend, als wir dort übernachtet haben, hatte die Familie für eine größere Gruppe gekocht und wir wurden eingeladen, an dem leckeren indischen Essen auf der Außenterrasse teilzunehmen. Vielen Dank dafür! Toll war auch, dass das Bad ein Fenster hatte. Da auch das große Fenster am Zimmer komplett geöffnet werden konnte, haben wir einfach Durchzug durch Frischluft erzeugt und die Klimaanlage nicht benötigt.

Friendly staff, easily accessible, dedicated parking space per room. Comfy bed, shower had good temperature and water pressure. The welcome basket with fruits and cookies and water was a nice touch.

There could be more lighting in the shower. Bathroom (especially shower) was a bit small. Isolation through the door was not ideal, could hear outdoor sounds quite well. There was a chemical/chlorine smell upon entering the room.

Very friendly staff.

When you turn out the ceiling light to go to bed it turns off the USB charger on your nightstand.

Best location for Big Pine Lakes Trails. Very clean. Staff is great!

The block walls made the room very quiet. Room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Owner was friendly and on site so as a solo female traveler I felt safe. I got a view of the cute resident chicken!

On a Monday night there was nowhere to eat in Big Pine except a barbecue place, which would've been too much food for me. I ended up going to a gas station grocery store with very few options. Stock up in Bishop or Lone Pine!

The property was very clean, quiet and well appointed. It has a very cool, laid back, Americana charm about it. There a fantastic outside deck & lounge area with tables, chairs and a grill. As a bonus there is a great view of The Sierra’s out back. The property owner, Kaldesh, is the best host I have ever met, period. Super nice guy.
