"Farmhouse charm and character. Brilliant place to stay."

10.0

Manor House Mews in Dorset delivers an authentic countryside experience with its rustic farmhouse charm making it a stunning and cosy escape. Ignore the overly negative reviews from people who clearly don't deserve to spend time in the countryside! Our stay was an absolute delight, brimming with character and charm. The building is a true gem and the beds were wonderfully comfy. We were staying here for a wedding in Moreton and the church, nearby walled garden cafe and village hall were all easily walkable.

Unfortunately there were no pods for the Nespresso machine, there was also no shampoo or body wash for the shower. My wife bumped her head on the low beam at the top of the stairs. Ouch. Be careful!

"Over priced and no privacy"

6.0

The best definition of value I have ever heard is “the difference between you you thought you were getting and what you got” this sadly was a very wide gap. It is not a destination venue but more of some where to dump your belongings and go out. It wouldn’t take much. I was advised when I arrived that it’s gets chilly down stairs… no it is freezing cold. The radiator isn’t big enough and the electric heaters just do not warm up the place. Blackout curtains across the doors would help. The shower does not have hot water it’s Luke warm at best. Instantaneous water heaters would solve that. Sadly I wouldn’t come here again. Over priced …. It wasn’t very clean either Kitchen bathroom and windows in the bedrooms not good.

"We can’t say we loved our stay but we didn’t dislike it either However we came prepared and knew what to expect. We just"

We came prepared as we knew it will be very cold. Couple of extra blankets and warm clothes made our stay bearable.

Broken Window in the bathroom and lack of radiator made it almost impossible to shower due to the cold.

"Our family stay"

7.0

It was very quirky and fitted in with the surroundings. It was only 20 mins from weymouth which we liked.

We found it very cold. We used all the portable heaters downstairs but it was still cold. It could do with some rugs on the concrete floor and some thick curtains on the front door and windows to keep the heat in.

"We just laughed when we walked in, it was a joke. No idea how this place is on this site. All other reviews are accurate"

3.0

It was in a lovely area

Very scruffy, outdoors was just weeds and dead flowers & a puddle that was probably a leaking septic tank & a rat trap nearby. Inside was basically a disused barn with a sofa & a bed in it. Totally without comforts. We love rustic but this was another level…. Only one good thing, bed was comfortable…..

"This property has great potential but it’s pretty run-down and needs some TLC"

5.0

The property is quite charming, it’s very rustic and has a character about it. The bathroom is nice and the beds were comfortable. It’s also in a beautiful area.

It’s all a bit run-down. The outside area out the front is a good space but just has a table and chairs that hasn’t been cleaned for a long time, and what appears to be a hot tub but is covered up. On the inside, it’s pretty basic but mostly fine. The original stone flooring, whilst quite novel, really makes this place not great for kids. It’s uneven, bumpy and, obviously, very unforgiving if they fall over. The ceiling is very low on the stairs so be prepared to crouch at the top. The spiral staircase feels very flimsy and requires quite a bit of concentration to navigate up and down. All this is fairly trivial but the main issues came out at night. The place becomes infested with large woodlice and slugs. One night before bed, I removed 14 woodlice from our bedroom and could see many, many more on the floor in the living/kitchen area. The slugs came out a bit later at night downstairs only, at one point I stepped on one accidentally, it was grim. The WiFi is poor, we just couldn’t get it to work properly at all.

"This place was good value for money but not very cosy and rustic is maybe an under statement."

4.0

Lots of bugs in the property, one day no hot water, Internet kept switching off, towels looked dirty.
