I liked my room which was very comfortable and clean, the nice welcome I received and the breakfast.

there was nothing that I didn't like.

Whilst I pre-paid for Breakfast whilst booking with Booking.com when I went to breakfast I was told it was a continental breakfast only included and if I wanted an English Breakfast it was an addition £9.95 per person. In addition on arrival I was informed that it was Karaoke night which will be on until 2300 HRS and it may be noisy which it certainly was. On the 2nd night (sunday) again there was music on until 2300. I am not against people enjoying themselves but I had a young family with me and things like this should be highlighted when booking.

Location a few minutes walk from town centre, opposite railway station which also provides low cost (£3.60) overnight parking. Room clean with a good view from the window. Good price for a basic hotel stay.

Bed was too soft for me. Hotel and room generally basic, with cheap fixtures and fittings.

Limited choice for continental breakfast, area sitting in the Bar not very pleasant

Location was great, right near the train station, bed and room very comfortable, I hadn’t been sure what to expect as couldn’t tell about the area and condition of the property but was pleasantly surprised — a nice pub downstairs, very friendly and helpful staff helped book taxis to the Holy Island and accommodated us waiting for a taxi pickup after they had to close/lock the property late morning

Public areas/stairs a little dated but fresh and clean room made up for it
