"Stunning Hotel - but watch for loophole (Breakfast)"

We had two nights here recently and were impressed with the quality and fit our of the rooms. No expense spared, lovely to be in a hotel that offers beautiful crockery and cutlery, bath towels, bedding etc and facilities that are so clean and of excellent quality. It was lovely to have my evening whiskey in my room from a Crystal glass. The bathrooms are stunning and really well appointed. Large TV and very comfortable beds. Staff a bit stand offish, and after reception told me breakfast was included in the room when I checked in, we arrived the next morning to be told it was not included????? Very confusing and expensive. But as there is little available before 10am we had breakfast both mornings costing 3 of us over $240 NZD. For a breakfast buffet there were many offerings, however we had better buffets at lower standard hotels and for the cost I would expect to be able to request eggs to be cooked as requested (which we experienced elsewhere) and more western offerings considering it is a hotel in a location popular with international tourists. Location is spectacular and easy to access all the local highlights and sightseeing places. I would stay here again for the quality and comfort

We enjoyed staying here in December 2024. The location is perfect for visiting Kanazawa points of interest. The hotel style is nice, rooms larger than average in Japan. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Parking available in the basement.

Nice hotel with beautiful art and garden. Large, comfortable, clean rooms, comfortable bed. Nice toiletries, I love that they had bath salts for the bath. Excellent hotel breakfast and helpful concierge. Excellent location, right by omichi market and walkable to higashi-chaya and kanazawa castle and gardens. Ticked all the right boxes for me. Would definitely stay again!

It was clean and comfortable. Great bartender who made a very tasty cocktail even though it was a completely new recipe to him. If there is a bit more attentive service at the front including bell, that would have been great.
