AB Ljubljana - The Residence

Von Seiten des Hauses alles bestens. 5 Sterne Ich habe über Expedia gebucht. Dort wurde kostenloses Parken beworben, was der Hausbesitzer nie angegeben hat. Expedia verweigert eine Erstattung. Inzwischen ist die Website aber korrigiert.

It was a great location, sympathetically renovated and tastefully decorated. Very clean, easy to find and the instructions from the hosts were easy to follow. We only stayed a night so didn’t need many of the facilities provided.

It was fairly expensive for one night considering we only stayed in the room for 15 hours.

The location was amazing, in a gorgeous little street by the river by the heart of the old town, it was very easy to walk around. The apartment is beautifully furnished, one bedroom and another bed in a walled glass section, plenty of space for us as a family of four and 2 bathrooms.

Excellent location and quick and easy communication.

The property was very secure, clean, well decorated and spacious and with a suburb location in a quiet lane near the river. The owners did allow us to leave our luggage after checkout until we left for our flight home and booked us a taxi to the airport.

The worst thing was that the lift was not working which was very regrettable as we had to negotiate difficult stairs (and in one place challenging/dangerous as there was no handrail). We are a group of 2 married couples in our 70s and had carefully selected a property with a lift, so this was very disappointing. We were not informed of this before our arrival and had we been disabled, we would not have been able to access the apartment. In addition, one bedside table was not working and had bare wires. We reported this immediately but it was not replaced during our stay. There were only easy chairs for 3 in an apartment for 4 (an additional single chair could easily be added). The kitchen sink and one handbasin had no working plug and there no instructions for any of the appliances. There was limited cutlery with no scissors and no sharp knives so cutting bread was a problem. There was only one key so we always had to go out together. NB for visitors to Ljubljana: beware the scam taxis at the airport exit which charge excessive rates into the city. Oddly, the normal taxis seem to located further away.
