The food was very good, The guest house is situated at a prime location

The village is beautiful and very peaceful apart from a bit of noise at night with people next door at pub but overall really nice. The reception lady is friendly and the canteen staff were so helpful.

Mattress uncomfortable for myself I woke up in pain and stiff my daughter said hers was fine. Room was small, aging furniture, chipped and scratched, window needs painting there was cobwebs and dead insects stuck around it. The twin room we were put in was the furthest away from the tea and coffee, flight of stairs and 3 corridors, no drinking water in the room. For the same price not far away elsewhere we had a lovely room with very comfy beds, kettle and drinks and our own bathroom so in comparison to this I wasn't impressed. Perhaps the new building has better rooms but this room wasn't good.

I loved the breakfast and the room was nice.

The mattress was past it's life. It sloped down to one side so that I felt as if I were falling out of bed. This made my sleeping experience rather poor. I tried turning the mattress which helped a bit but not enough. Please replace the mattress and ask people not yo sit on the bed but use the chair provided and turn the mattress regularly. This may help increase the life of the mattress.

Clean the rooms were lovely.Very compact and cosy

Lovely clean room. Receptionist was really helpful.

Breakfast only served for an hour but good selection

Peaceful and clean, breakfast at 8 in the dining area, nice range of options and companionable atmosphere.

I couldn't lock my room, though the key to the block worked ok. That would be fine I suppose if a whole group of you were going.
