Anchor Bay Inn and Suites

Clean, charming, comfortable, convenient. Loved it!

We stayed at Anchor Bay for two nights! It was a great stay. Clean, bed was comfy, small appliances made it nice, and streaming on the tv. It was close to the highway for easy travel to surrounding cities. Lots of good restaurants in Sandusky to check out. We would definitely stay again!

This property was off the beaten path. Showed some Bay pics but upon arrival. Had to drive to get to any views. However, the customer service was top notch and the place was clean and perfect if you’re surrounded by chaos on a regular basis. Perfect way to reset. Runs like a Bed and Breakfast never saw staff. However, staff was readily available and on point. Wasn’t what I wanted when I came here BUT was what I needed.

The place was very nice and clean and safe updated. Only problem we had was the light on the microwave was burned out and the beds could've been a little bit more comfortable but overall great place and price right and in between location going between put in bay and Cedar point

Very clean and close to everything!

Anchor Bay markets itself as a lakeside retreat and charges premium rates, but in reality they are a remodeled roadside motel. The room was fine and the decor was cute, but I had an issue with the smart locks and later the excessive roadside noise. At first, I couldn’t get out of the room, and then I couldn’t lock the door behind me as I was leaving. This caused me to panic due to my claustrophobic tendencies. I called the manager for help, but instead of offering support, she dismissed my concerns, saying I was “perfectly safe” and argued that my claustrophobia was not caused by the locks (huh?). The conversation got worse, with her comparing my situation to ordering steak and then not liking it. She hung up on me after refusing any assistance. To top it off, I couldn’t sleep all night because of the noise from traffic and trains. I woke up to realize there also was no walking trail or nice view. All in all, I would not stay there again due to the noisy location and the difficult manager who lacked basic customer service skills to say the least.

Very clean and nice place to stay! Loved the easy entry with the code and loved the room and 2 bathrooms!

Very clean! They say in the listing that they offer a crib upon request but they did not have one so just prepare for that if needed. Other than that checkin was very easy the room was clean and quiet.

A comfortable, clean room in a quiet area in close proximity to nearby attractions. If that’s what you’re looking for, I highly recommend this property.
