Villa Santuario Lake front Oasis

Amazing host, location and environment!

This was the best stay we had in Mexico! We travelled around quite a bit and no other place beat this little gem.

That we couldn't extend our stay. The spot was fully booked.

It is a piece of paradise. We loved it there. We enjoyed the little access at the lagoon, and the quiet. The caban was very comfy.

The Road to get there is terrible, the restaurant is overpriced and the breakfast is very little.

The lagoon is amazing but you will enjoy it from everywhere. Don’t choose this place.

We arrived at the place and it turned out to be nothing as described. Once you get there you won’t be able to go back and forth to Bacalar easily as the place is in jungle and there is no road to get there. Prepare for an off-road drive through jungle with no lights (it gets dark at 18!) through mud you can easily stuck in and deep holes. This takes for about 5km. The house we were offered stink of mold and was not secured with nets in all places. It was dirty and horrible. When we decided not to stay there the owner told us we are in a jungle and that’s it. She would not offer us any return although we paid for 2 nights. We have stayed in many places around the world and we never intended to canceled the reservation after we saw the location. This was literally scared us away within 10 minutes.

The smell of the room, insects in room, filtration of water in the roof, locker door system, the road was not in good condition.

Very nice and welcoming stuff. Our treehouse room was as expected with the beautiful view. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere with yoga mates and other possibilities to do activities.
