Host & Stay - 19 West End

What can we say. Entrance mat filthy. Cobwebs everywhere. Dirty handprint on the bathroom wall. Shower riser rusty, shower tiles mouldy. Didn't look like anywhere had been swept or vacuumed. Lack of somewhere to put drinks in the lounge. If there is more than 2 of you you will struggle to sit and eat or sit in the lounge together. Toilet seat very loose, dangerous. Neighbours Alexa plays music all night and alarms start going off from 5am. Management company say sorry but do nothing about it. Filled z complaint firm in and have heard nothing after 2 weeks.

The location was excellent and it was helpful to have a well stocked Spar shop so close.

Nothing worth mentioning

Furnished and decorated to an excellent standard. Very well equipped with everything we needed for a short break

There were only 2 dining chairs and a small table We had to bring in the garden table and chairs. As the house sleeps 4, there should be 4 chairs and a bigger table so everyone can eat together. Also a coffee table in the lounge would have been useful. Although the house was clean, evidently the spiders had been busy since as there were a lot of cobwebs.

We stayed for two nights and were kept awake by noise from next door the first night. Both nights we were also woken in the early hours by an alarm and music from next door. Everything else was perfect but as we wanted a good night's sleep, we probably wouldn't use this property again, which is a shame.
