Location was near everything we had planned. Surrounded by food. The hotel was quiet, great ambiance, free breakfast, peaceful rooftop and speakeasy was full of energy and great drinks. The greenery all over was beautiful. And the room itself was lovely and comfortable.

I loved the cool and trendy atmosphere of the place, set in an artistic and beautifully designed building. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the staff were incredibly responsive and helpful, even recommending great spots for dinner. Both the downstairs bar and the rooftop are perfect for enjoying a cocktail in a relaxed setting. Breakfast was also delicious, a great way to start the day.

If I had to mention one detail, the room felt a little dark as the windows opened onto an inner patio, but this wasn’t an issue for us and didn’t take away from the overall experience.

Service was excellent!! Everything you could want, Volga has! Beautiful architecture, lovely bar, awesome rooftop and very comfortable and well appointed rooms!!

Perfect stay. The staff was all incredibly. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to be back.

As a designer visiting Mexico City for Zona Maco, I was drawn to Hotel Volga for its design-forward reputation. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing due to a significant lapse in care and accountability. During my stay, a rare, one-of-a-kind paper lamp—purchased from an emerging designer exhibiting at the fair—was mistakenly discarded by the hotel’s housekeeping team. The lamp had been carefully boxed and left in my room. Upon investigation, CCTV footage confirmed the item had been taken by housekeeping. Despite providing a valid receipt and engaging in months of communication with the hotel, a resolution was never reached. Hotel Volga ultimately requested payment verification details that were not obtainable, particularly given the artisanal nature of the piece and the context in which it was acquired. This was not just a financial loss, but a personal one. The lamp was irreplaceable—a unique work by a young creative, purchased with intent and meaning. For a hotel that prides itself on design and creativity, the lack of care, ownership, and resolution was particularly disheartening. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and implements more rigorous protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.
