Cappadocia Sweet Cave

Wir haben zwei außergewöhnliche und unvergesslich schöne Übernachtungen in dem Hotel genossen. Die Familie ist gastfreundlich, herzlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Unsere Ausflüge haben wir über die Unterkunft gebucht, kann ich nur empfehlen die Familie anzusprechen. Wir haben Ballonflug und Pferdereiten in Göreme gebucht, beides wurde sehr unkompliziert und zuvorkommend zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit vorgebucht. Zahlung der Ausflüge werden von den Veranstaltern bar günstiger angeboten, aufgrund der hohen Bankprovisionen. Es empfiehlt sich also bargeld mitzuführen. Die Badewanne und Dusche sind beide unvergesslich schön (Regendusche, Jakuzzi) Das Frühstück besteht aus regional angebautem Gemüse, selbst hergestellten Marmeladen und sehr frischen und regional typischen Käse. Wir haben uns jederzeit gut umsorgt gefühlt, vielen Dank nochmal für diese gute Zeit in Kappadokien.

The hotel was wonderful,I think was new ,the rooms were very clean ,the family owners are very pleasant, breakfast was great.I would like to say thank you to the family owners they are wonderful,we also see balloons witch was great .

Capadocia Sweet Cave is a small pension with like 8 apartments, some dig in the rock, some in the building in front. The apartment (Deluxe Room) we stayed consists of one room of a decent size. In front section of the room there are two armchairs, the table and a wardrobe, while at the back a big double bed. In the room there’s a TV, a small fridge and an electric kettle with some tea and coffee provided. The bathroom is quite big, with a large bathtub and a separate shower. Breakfast is served on the large terrace with a view over Cappadocia’s landscape. It’s very tasty. there’s a variety of local products and portions are big. Certainly breakfasts deserve the mark of 10 or even more. The owner provides all required information and support. He speaks good English, which is not always the case in Turkey, even in some hotels and pensions. If one comes by car: there are some parking places at the street in front of the pension. The approach street is not very appealing: some construction sites and workshops, but since Cappadocia Sweet Cave is the last building on the street following there’s only magnificent Cappadocian landscape. The location has many benefits: Ortahisar is not as popular destination as the nearby Goreme, but still there are some restaurants and shops, and the famous rock-castle as the main tourist spot. The centre of the town is within walking distance. To summarize: we had good time and good memories from Capadocia Sweet Cave.

Although the location of an apartment in the rock is quite unique it also brings some limitations. The apartment has no air condition. We were in spring when the temperature reached 25 C and it was quite warm in the room already, I guess mid-summer it may be more challenging, especially as due to the nature of the room it has only one window in the front wall. Just one window also means that it’s quite dark in the room so one need to use lighting permanently, especially as one can’t leave it open all time as it’s facing the approach to other rooms. Meanwhile, water leaking in the bathroom from the electric fan during the rain was a bit scary to us, I think that chimneys require better protection against water.

Eine echt super schöne Unterkunft…. Die Unterkunft wird sehr liebevoll von einer super netten Familie geführt!!!! Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber was man leider viel zu selten erlebt. Wir können diese Unterkunft jedem empfehlen!

Hizmet eksiksiz ve özenli. Odalarda tüm ihtiyaçlar düşünülmüş. Hijyen ve temizlik 10 üzerinden 10. Bunları belki pek çok yerde bulabilirsiniz. Fakat evinizden uzaktayken, sanki ailenizin yanındaymışsınız hissini veren sıcaklık, kolay kolay bulunamaz. Otele girişinizden çıkışınıza kadar bu sıcaklığı hissedecek, keşke biraz daha kalsak diyeceksiniz. Muazzam bir Ortahisar manzarasına karşı her biri el emeği ve özenle hazırlanmış yiyeceklerden oluşan kahvaltınızı yaparken bir de bakmışsınız ki okkalı türk kahveniz gelmiş, muhabbet koyulaşmış, dönüş vakti de gelmiş ama hiç dönesiniz yok :)

We had a great stay at the Sweet Cave Hotel. It’s family operated and the family was super gracious and hospitable during our stay, checking in on us, providing recommendations, ,and helping with anything we needed. We got know them a little through our conversations everyday. The room was spacious and fun being in a cave suite surrounded by local decor.

A perfect small family run hotel in every respect. Nice panorama, close to the centre, charming personnel and very good breakfast. I enjoyed it like being at home. Recommend to stay there. Reasonable prices and smiles at every corner. The owner will take care of you in person.
