During the stay at Sweet Cave we appreciated the affable attitude of the host , the friendly atmosphere and quite surroundings. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a nice view of the surrounding valley. The breakfast was innovative from my perspective : I never had French fries at this time before. Personally I would have preferred fruits. Nevertheless, the pastry served was freshly baked, really fluffy and delicious. The bathroom was very clean and we have been provided with toiletries from the moment of the arrival. The way the property was managed clearly shows the interest of the owner in offering clients a space as neat and green as possible, with shady areas and attention to details.

Ortahisar is one of Cappadocia's smaller rural resorts and still under significant development. For travelers who prefer to spend an evening in a lively city and enjoy the entertainment, Uçhisar , Ürgüp or Göreme do offer more. Restaurant options are also very limited. An incident that made me more reserved was the fact that the first morning after arrival - when we hadn't even recovered well - one of the ladies who help with the services appeared with a box in which there were various handmade bead-necklaces. She sat down while we were having breakfast and started presenting them to us, narrating how these were made by her mother. She suggested that I choose one, which I did because it seemed polite from my side. She then told me that they were for sale and I agreed to buy one neckless. The price was $10. This meant around 340 Turkish lira; the price for similar accessories in stores was 10 times lower. I didn't feel ok at all. Of course, I could have refused the proposal, no one forced me to buy, but the fact that she had this approach bothered me terribly. Especially since, on the following days, she did not present the box with the special necklaces to the Turkish tourists - fellow nationals. It was only meant for the imprudent foreigners.

We have visited Sweet Cave with our teen sons. The hotel is located in the central Ortahisar area. We stayed there for 4 nights. Everything was great. If we go to details: Price: Good deal, if you book in 3 moths advance. We stayed in high season, local holiday but paid a moderate price for king room. Location: Ortahisar is very close to Goreme and Urgup where you can see most of the historic and natural attractions as well as local shops, restaurants and winery. Rooms: Our room was big enough for 4 people, very well decorated, clean, wide, nice furniture very big bathroom with jacuzzi and a small Turkish hammam inside. Beds are very new and comfortable. The keep renewing hot drinks and water daily. Clean the room when you wish. Breakfast: Full menu with all classic Turkish variety including breads, bagels, cheese, jams, honney, salads, eggs ets. In addition to these they also serve fries, salami, fresh baked pastry. Concept: It is a newly renovated small boutique hotel with only 7 rooms. The hotel is run by a family who are local and well experienced in tourism. They give you a tailor made service. All the staff including MR. Koray, Mr. Kadir and Mr. Burhan are very kind. Their mother cooks the daily food and all are delcious. Extras: They serve turkish and filter coffes. They help you with local bookings such as baloons and other trips. They know the region very well so the reccomend where to eat, shop or sightsee according to your style and weather. I rarely recommend Turkish hotels but this one is really exceptional because it is very compact and againg family run business. You can stay with family like we did or even spend group holiday because of 7 rooms. Enjoy Cappadocia region and dont forget to visit Selime Monestry.

Our stay at the Sweet Cave Hotel, enhanced by the staff's exceptional hospitality, exceeded all expectations! Rating it a 10/10 doesn't do justice to the unforgettable experience we enjoyed. I heartily endorse this hotel, particularly praising Ilknur's delicious breakfasts. The level of assistance and care we received from everyone was simply astounding.

The room is super comfortable with good design to experience the cave house, the breakfast is mostly handmade that I can't stop eating (but usually I don't take breakfast much), the owner is super friendly and arranged every local tour I requested and help contact all relative ppl to save many of time and make the whole trip perfect and not wasting any time in my limited staying time, I will definitely stay there again for my next visit to Cappadocia and highly recommend to all of you.

Koray will find you great deals on all activities The view of the hotel is great and location wise, it is near to the relatively quite part of Cappadocia which is perfect as you get the best views as well as calm of the area too. The host managed all activities for us which included ATV, horse riding and hot air balloon flight. We just told Koray what we wanted to do and he did the rest.
