The room was damaged. The ceiling was dropping plaster on the bed and entire room. Air condition did not work. Staff said we would get a refund and they would call us the next day. Still did not recieve a refund or a call

Wonderful staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. The building is historic and in the perfect location.

I enjoyed the staff and food and drinks and entertainment. What I didn’t like was the bathroom needs some updating.

This place is smack dab in the center of everything BUT needs major updating. Our bathroom door wouldn’t close, we had to lift it to close. No hot water from the sink. No pressure at all in the shower. The window had rotten wood and didn’t close all the way. We had to walk up 3 flights of steps cause elevator only fit 2 people and had to wait for employees to bring you up. We understood the history of the place and ole world charm but some modern necessities need to be addressed. The room was clean but bare. The chair in the room was uncomfortable and falling apart. We had no where to lay down our bags cause there was no furniture. My phone wouldn’t charge all the way each night I believe cause the outlet failed. No wifi service at all or very weak. They need some boosters for higher rooms. The bed was ok but up against a wall with itchy sheets but that happens in many hotels. The parking is convenient but fills up fast. They gave us coupons for food/ drink and also beach tags. There was live music which was entertaining. Overall a positive experience just needs alot of TLC. Also not worth the money they asking for it.

Totally dilapidated room for a huge price, sink didn’t drain, toilets didn’t flush, AC didn’t work, power outlets all shot and plugs don’t stay in Asked twice to have this remedy but front desk basically just rolled their eyes at me Then Duane, the general manager literally called me a liar on the phone, so here you go Duane, a great review for you and your dilapidated palace!

Location perfect and beach access included with chairs and umbrella perfect.

Bathrooms incredibly poor quality given the rate.

Rooms were basic

Check in process was okay. Night lights in the room was the extent of what we liked. Venue across the street from the beach was good. Outdoor pool nice but way too small for all the guests.

The list is abundant about what we did not like about this property. The suite room was actually two adjoining rooms together. Way too small for the price. One door would not lock. Refrigerator not in room but you could purchase one. Having to park in a gravel lot and take all of your luggage across the street then await the elevator (only one and hotel operated) to your room was a big inconvenience. Staircase very narrow. The restaurant okay but not great. Not my idea of a good experience venue at the beach. Way too expensive - $850+ for one night - not worth it.

There was live music outside while we ate dinner on the deck. The atmosphere was amazing

The staff everywhere in the hotel were extremely helpful and pleasant

The hot water in the shower was scolding left the mark on my back we had to go out and buy aloe for it. I did report that I got no reply.
