We stayed here for my birthday and were slightly disappointed by a couple of things. First being, the huge security deposit which we felt was unnecessary. There was a lack of amenities such as no bottle opener which was quite inconvenient for a self catering property. The flat was also very cold and felt like it lacked some TLC. What was most disappointing was that my partner accidentally knocked a small photo frame off the wall in the bathroom and it cracked at the corner - I informed the host straight away. Using the barcode on the back, I looked it up to see if we could potentially repurchase - it was £4.50 on the Tesco website, however the owner proceeded to charge us £15 for this which left us feeling quite disappointed at the end of our stay.

I arrived at the 'Stylish 1BD Seaside Flat< North Berwick. I found this property to be disappointing and not as described in the Booking.com Advertisement. I found the following not satisfactory, the wires were not boxed up from the main circuit board, the toilet was continually flushing, all windows were unclean, a mop bucket and mop head were left in the kitchen/sitting room, a used scrubbing/cleaning was left under the sink, settee was well used and very uncomfortable, old oven gloves and old dishtowel were left hanging over the oven door, 2 single beds pushed together to make a 'King size' bed, bedroom curtains untidy and old, a hoover in the bedroom, filthy windows and sill in bathroom, a pungent smell around the toilet, cleaning materials left on shelves, dusty woodwork, marks on kitchen utensils, walls unclean throughout, hanging utensils missing on back of door in bedroom, Extractor fan in bathroom blocked, linoleum in hall way unclean and very uneven, nightshade very dusty, cupboard door in bedroom not closing. In essence the images make the property out to be homely and very inviting - the realism was completely different. I decided NOT to stay, hence the reoasn I have compiled this list. I have had to find alternative accommodation costing me more money. I had paid £100.00 for 2 days of a cleaning fee?, and £300.00 of a deposit which would safeguard any damage. Single glazing so in windy weather they rattled Would of preferred a comfort setee

Blinds or curtains needed in kitchen do privacy, fully size ironing board would be better
