the hotel is in a great location, room Was modern and very clean. The only complaint is the gym in the building with very loud music woke me up daily at 5am. The staff was friendly but failed to either mention the noise on the 3rd floor or move me to a different room. If not for the loud music coming from the gym, it would have been a 10 out of 10.

Staff isn’t friendly

Staying at the Be Mate is always a vibe. Rooms are great and area is nice. One thing, try to get a room on higher floor. I was on the 3rd floor. You can hear the music coming from the gym and street is busy all night

I had one of the worst stay at Be Mate Medellin. The apartment that I booked was clean and well organized. The staff was welcoming when I first arrived, the building policy is very strict when it comes to bringing guest. I agreed and accepted the term of their policy and I had no issues regarding that. I stayed at unit 304 and I really enjoyed it until the next morning. At 5am the next morning a loud techno music started playing sooo loud that woke me up. I was very confused specifically with the strict rules that the front desk management informed me and made me signs a form that prohibits partying and playing music prior check in. It turn out the music was coming from the Gym that was right under my room. my bed was shaking from the base of the loud music… I went to the front desk to ask if the can change me to another room away from the noise. They told me.. they are aware of the noise and the cannot do anything about it. I asked politely if they can put me in a different room and they said they don’t have any room available away from the gym.they told me that they have another room in the same floor as my current room and the noise is worst. They proposed if I wanted to upgrade to a bigger room but with an extra charge of $100. I really was very disappointed and pissed about the situation. I really felt being screwed and the extra $100 for the upgrade sounded like it’s made on purpose. I really hope that everyone planning to stay at This property should be aware.

This property has a beautiful rainforest shower in the bathroom. My room was extremely clean and everything is similar to a perfect boutique hotel. Edwin was very helpful and helped me with all of my requests. I will be back.

We stayed at the highest floor. It was a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was amazing, super clean, house keeping were super attentive. The view from the balcony was great. The only downside and it determined for me and my family not to stay here again was that such a beautiful building with no pool and the extra or hidden fees you are charged per person. We reserved a two bedroom. One room with a king size bed and the second room with two full size beds. We were 2 adults, 1 child and a newborn baby. We were charged $200,000 colombian pesos which is equivalent to about 50-60$ dollars per day for the child and the newborn baby. Aside from the reservation we needed to pay an extra $800 US dollars. So we were charged an excessive amount at the checkin aside from what we had already paid for the reservation. We fly into medellin very frecuently and we have never been charged these kind of additional fees. There are so many beautiful locations in the area i would reccomend going elsewhere if traveling with family.

The rooms were big. Everything was clean and kept clean. I was able to communicate with the staff at the front desk in English. They were very helpful. The restaurant next door had a very good breakfast. There are many places across the street to eat lunch and dinner. The area is nice and I had no problem walking around.

The room itself was great, very spacious and very clean. We were on the 4th floor and there was quite a lot of noise from the gym below early in the morning. A few other reviews mentioned the location, it's a bit out of the way but it was easy enough to get taxis and they were not expensive.

This place is really nice and huge, HOWEVER their policy on guests is ZERO TOLERANCE unless you pay $120 per person per night (about 50% of the price!), even if it's only to come see the place and the view for 5 minutes. That ruined the entire experience for me. I booked for two people which meant that my friend and I each had our own Couch and the 20 seats in the place went unused. Not that I wanted to throw a party but it would have been nice to have been able to have friends come over for a drink before going out.

The front desk staff is the best. Especially the girl. The best shower in the whole city.
