Happy Family Apartments The Roof

The apartment is well located near via garibaldi. It was clean and had the equipment we needed. This could have been a lovely apartment with a little more care.

The balcony was the main reason I chose this apartment over other cheaper offerings. Unfortunately when we arrived there was building work taking place next door and the adjacent balcony was a building site. No attempt had been made to screen off the eyesore and when the workmen were present there was no privacy and a lot of noise which made me unable to use that area which was very disappointing. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and left me with severe back pain. The set up is basically 2 single beds placed within a double bed frame which leaves room to spare around the bed bases so they drift apart. There are 2 very shiny single mattresses on top of the single beds, each with a thick mattress protector. As the beds drift apart a gulf forms in the middle. The mattress protectors slide off the slippery mattress and hang over the side of the bed leaving you sleeping on a sloped surface. No amount of remaking the bed and tightly tucking the double sheet could fix this. We moved into the smaller second room which had the same set up and same issues but was slightly better. The air conditioning was poor and took a long time to lower the temperature to anywhere near a comfortable level. The shower was grubby and badly designed and flooded the bathroom when used. The owners did send housekeeping the same day i contacted them to unblock the drain and bring fresh towels, this helped a little. I had to contact the owners multiple times to ask for WiFi passwords and where to take bins as there was no information to be found in the apartment. There is only a small double seater sofa for a 4 person apartment. The access arrangements were extremely confusing, the building is not well signed and the key safe arrangement was not as pictured in the information we were sent so, once I had ascertained the location, I had to try the code in multiple locks to eventually get the key.

Apartment was spacious, easy to find and clean .

Perfect location - very close to a bus stop (2 minutes) and old town, sights (3-5 minutes), near the university (7 minutes), train and bus station (12 minutes) Terrace - perfect atmosphere, great view Large apartment - enough space for everything Nice staff - they sent us all the needed instructions in a very understandable form The lift - it is The Roof apartment, so the lift was a great bonus, even old and slow.

The beds were soft, but that is the question of habits.
